Here’s a little trivia for today: Did you know that the Philippine currency carries a Bible verse?

Printed on our money is Psalm 33:12: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” In Filipino, “Pinagpala ang bayan na ang Diyos ay ang Panginoon.”

What a beautiful reminder that true blessing begins with acknowledging that our God is the Lord.

At Christian Academy of Bacolod, we seek to uphold one value: loving God above all. And from our love for God flows our love for others, including a deep love and appreciation for our country.

This love for God, expressed through love for country, was evident during our Buwan ng Wika celebration last August 28, 2026. The celebration was more than simply performing Filipino songs and dances or wearing traditional Filipino attire. It was an opportunity to worship God through our language, celebrate our God-given heritage, and express our love for our country and fellow Filipinos.

The program began with all grade levels coming together in a performance of “Sambahin Ka, O Yahweh!” The CAB Chorale then led the community in worship through the Filipino rendition of “Tribe.”

This was followed by a message from our school chaplain, delivered in Filipino, on the character of being tactful, or mabuting pakikitungo. It reminded us to speak and act with wisdom, grace, and consideration for others.

After the messages and performances, the celebration continued with fellowship among parents, teachers, and students.

Every year, Christian Academy of Bacolod celebrates Buwan ng Wika and culminates it with a day dedicated to celebrating our language, heritage, and country. But at the heart of the celebration is something even greater: honoring the Lord our God, from whom all these blessings come. Indeed, “Pinagpala ang bayan na ang Diyos ay ang Panginoon.” 🇵🇭

At Christian Academy of Bacolod, we believe in cultivating a Culture of Blessing. It is a way of life that encourages teachers, parents, and students to bless others through what they have, what they can do, and the time they are willing to give.

One beautiful expression of this is CABayanihan.

Launched in the summer of 2026, CABayanihan brought together members of the CAB community—teachers, parents, and students—who gave their time, energy, and skills to help make our school cleaner, greener, and better. Some helped clean the surroundings, while others lent their skills to do DIY repairs and improvements around the campus. Others generously donated for the tools and materials needed.

The greater blessing was not simply seeing a more beautiful school, but it was seeing the CAB community come together.

It reminded us that educating and nurturing the next generation is not the school's work alone. It is a partnership between the church, the school, and the home, each playing a part in shaping children who will one day bless others too.💙

Because of the haze currently affecting Negros Island, students are encouraged to wear face masks on school grounds and during their commute to and from school.

We encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions to protect their health and well-being. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

In the interest of public safety, everyone is advised to keep doors and windows closed, avoid strenuous activities, and wear face masks outdoors. This is especially critical for children, pregnant women, seniors, and those with respiratory conditions.

The City of Bacolod will continuously monitor the situation and track air quality levels through the monitoring station in Barangay Alijis.

In case of emergency, please dial our local 911.

In the School of Tomorrow system, students are taught skills that go beyond academics. From an early age, they are given opportunities to develop habits that will help them become responsible and independent learners.

Here are some of the skills they learn:

💙Goal Setting

Students are guided by their supervisors to set goals that are appropriate, realistic, and attainable. They learn to identify what they need to accomplish and take responsibility for working toward those goals.

💙Maintaining Balance

Students learn how to manage their time and balance their responsibilities. They are encouraged to allocate time appropriately for each subject while making steady progress toward their goals.

💙Following Through

Every child has a unique pace and a different level of readiness. The system recognizes these differences while encouraging students to persevere and follow through with the goals they have set.

Through this approach, children gradually take ownership of their learning. They are not simply taught what to learn—they are also taught how to learn, including the study habits, discipline, time management, and responsibility they need to become independent learners.

At Christian Academy of Bacolod, we have been providing Christian Education through the School of Tomorrow system, helping children grow academically while developing character and life skills grounded in Christian values.

In the A.C.E. program, you can expect the number of PACEs completed by each student to vary, depending on ability and motivation level. Encourage your students to maintain academic balance by setting appropriate goals and completing about the same number of PACEs in each of their subjects. For more tips, check your manual!

Christian Academy of Bacolod students worship the Lord through song and dance to "Sambahin Ka, O Yahweh," a Filipino worship song composed by Ernie Palacio, whose title means "We worship You, Yahweh!"

It was a fitting way to celebrate not only the Filipino language but also the God who created all languages.

Students from kindergarten to high school joined together in this community dance. It may look like a simple performance — but it's really the next generation singing, dancing, and worshipping the Lord.

Perhaps that is one of the most beautiful things we can witness as a school community: children growing not only in knowledge and skill, but also in their love for God. 💙
