Pursuant to Executive Order No. 45, Series of 2026, classes in KINDERGARTEN TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in both public and private schools in Bacolod City are SUSPENDED today, June 24, 2026, upon the recommendation of the Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), due to inclement weather conditions brought about by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), as indicated in the Regional Weather Forecast of the DOST-PAGASA issued at 5:00 AM.

Schools are encouraged to shift to modular distance learning performance tasks and projects to ensure that learning competencies are met.

Kabugwason Elementary School continues to prioritize the safety and preparedness of its learners through the successful conduct of an Earthquake and Fire Safety Orientation spearheaded by School DRRM Coordinator Ma’am Mary Grace N. Prologo.

With the active cooperation of the SELG officers, together with their adviser Ma’am Lindy F. Norca, the activity provided essential knowledge and practical awareness on how to respond effectively during emergencies such as earthquakes and fire incidents.

A total of 244 learners actively participated in the orientation, demonstrating the school’s strong commitment to building a culture of safety, vigilance, and resilience among its pupils.

Through initiatives like this, Kabugwason Elementary School empowers its learners to be informed, prepared, and ready to act in times of disaster.

Kabugwason Elementary School actively strengthens its commitment to safety and disaster preparedness through the successful conduct of a School Hazard Mapping activity. Led by the empowered SELG officers, the activity involved identifying potential risks and hazards within the school premises to ensure a safer learning environment for all learners and personnel.

The initiative was guided and supported by School Principal Ma’am Melanie C. Alimon School DRRM Coordinator Mary Grace N. Prologo, and SELG Adviser Ma’am Lindy F. Norca, whose leadership and dedication made the activity meaningful and impactful.

Through this collaborative effort, learners were given the opportunity to take an active role in promoting awareness, preparedness, and resilience—key components in building a disaster-ready school community.

Kabugwason Elementary School proudly announces the DPWH Deployment of Barbers on June 3, 2026, to sponsor and conduct a One-Day Free Haircut Activity for all learners.

This meaningful outreach activity aims to promote proper grooming, cleanliness, and confidence among pupils in preparation for the opening of classes. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the volunteer barbers for their generosity and support to our school community.
