STATEMENT OF SUPPORT FOR
Sec. JOSE FRANCISCO “KIKO” B. BENITEZ
Director General, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)
The Unified TVET of the Philippines (UniTVET), representing technical-vocational education institutions and advocates across the country, respectfully express its strong and unwavering support for Secretary JOSE FRANCISCO “KIKO” B. BENITEZ to continue his leadership as Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
DG Benitez’ visionary leadership, grounded in integrity and a clear commitment to quality and relevance in skills development has reinvigorated the TVET sector through his 8-point Agenda that is significant and meaningful to make TVET an engine for socio-economic growth and development. Under his stewardship, TESDA is advancing critical reforms, strengthened linkages with industry, and has placed Filipino learners and workers at the center of national workforce development.
While UniTVET recognize and honor his gesture of submitting his courtesy resignation in response to the President’s call, we firmly believe that his continued service is vital to sustaining the momentum of transformation in TVET. His strategic thinking, dedication to institutional excellence and deep understanding of the TVET system make him an indispensable leader at this critical juncture.
WE, the member-Institutions of UniTVET and its three Zonal TVET Associations of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, AFFIRM our collective confidence in his leadership and respectfully urge the President of the Republic of the Philippines that Sec. Jose Francisco “Kiko” Benitez be RETAINED as DIRECTOR GENERAL of TESDA. In this time when TVET must be a driver of inclusive growth and global competitiveness, Secretary Kiko Benitez embodies the kind of servant-leadership that the Filipino people truly deserve.
Let this statement stand as our official manifestation of support and our commitment to continue working alongside TESDA under the capable leadership and guidance of Sec. Jose Francisco “Kiko” B. Benitez.
