Passereaux - Bacolod City NHS Research and Engagement Club and Mr. Phillip Raymund De Oca are delighted to announce another sucessful collaboration with the publication of the research article “SPECꞮES COMPOSꞮTꞮON, STAND CHAƦACTEƦꞮSTꞮCS, AND CAƦBON STOCK OF MANGƦOVES ꞮN PUNTA TAYTAY, BACOLOD CꞮTY: ꞮMPLꞮCATꞮONS FOƦ A COMMUNꞮTY-BASED CONSEƦVATꞮON STƦATEGY” in the 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 - 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼. The research article was completed in collaboration with 𝗠𝗿. 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 of the Biological Science Division of the University of the Philippines - Visayas.
The 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 is an international, open-access, and peer-reviewed journal, free of charge.

This volume opens with a comprehensive study on the Species Composition, Stand Characteristics, and Carbon Stock of Mangroves in Punta Taytay, Bacolod City. The research provides valuable insights into the ecological structure and carbon sequestration potential of mangrove forests in the region. By documenting species diversity, stand characteristics, and biomass estimations, the study highlights the crucial role of mangroves in mitigating climate change and maintaining the stability of coastal ecosystems. The findings serve as a foundational reference for developing community-based conservation strategies, ensuring that these vital ecosystems are protected for future generations.
