Election of Officers
GUIDELINES

The following rules should be properly observed in relation to the conduct of election of officers for the BCHS/BCNHS GAA for alumni year 2024-2025.

I. Who are qualified to vote?
All bonafide alumni who have registered for the 2024 General Alumni Homecoming are qualified to vote.

II. Who are qualified to file their candidacy?
Only registered Alumni will be allowed to file their candidacy.
A maximum of two (2) candidates from each year class will be allowed to file their candidacy.
In the event that there are more than two (2) candidates, they have to meet among themselves and settle who will be their year class candidates. If the same is not resolved, they will all be disqualified to run.

III. When is the filing of candidacy?
Filing of Candidacy will start from April 14 to April 18
All disputes regarding number of candidates in excess of two per alumni year class should be settled by April 19.

Official list of candidates will be posted on April 20.

IV. When will the elections be held?
Elections will be held on April 21, 2024 from 9´a.m. to 12 noon
Voters who are within 5 meters of the voting precinct by 12 noon, when voting should have been officially closed will be allowed to cast their vote.

V. Where will the elections be held?
Voting Precinct will be at the main building.
When you are facing the main building, Voting Precinct will be at the left wing, last room before you go down the stairs.

VI. Who will conduct the elections?
A Board of Canvassers made up of our fellow Alumni who are currently teachers at BCNHS has been tapped to conduct the election.

VII. When will the election results be announced?
Immediately after counting is done and results confirmed.

VIII. How many candidates should a voter vote for?
Voters may vote 15 candidates from among the official candidates.
These 15 candidates will then be convened by the Election Committee for them to elect among themselves the officers.

IX. What is the term of office of the elected officers?
Elected officers will serve for a period of one alumni year that will start on June 1, 2024 and will end in May 31, 2025.

X. Where to get the Certificate of Candidacy form?

for your Certificate of Candidacy Forms, you can either:
a. Download attached form, fill it up and send to Elecom Chair @ [email protected]
b. Search for our COMELEC GC (see attached), request to JOIN, once approved , introduce yourself, for you to download the COC form.

b. you may drop by our Alumni Office for a hard copy.
