We're so grateful for your big, beautiful hearts and all the care you pour into the team and the families we serve. Last Saturday, DKETC Dialogues hosted its first ever Dialogue outside the center and we couldn’t have asked for a better first audience!

𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙨: 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨, facilitated by our very own Doc DK, brought together preschool educators and counselors for an afternoon of meaningful discussion about what inclusion and inclusive education truly looks like—from policy to classroom, and everything in between.

We deeply appreciate the warm reception (despite the weather!), the thoughtful questions, and the honest conversations we had during this Dialogue. We were happy to see familiar faces from the schools we work closely with, to reconnect with those we lost touch with since the pandemic, and to welcome new ones we hope to work with in the future.

Inclusion is a process and a continuous one, at that. There is still a lot of work to be done—the gap between policy and practice is real, the challenges are real, and the weight that teachers and schools carry every day is real, but so is the commitment of every therapist, educator, and counselor who showed up last Saturday. And that’s what matters.

𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘱𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯 but we are moving. Here's to building more classrooms where every learner feels seen, included, and supported together. 💙

Between sessions, meetings, and everything in between, July has been full and flying by — but we're pausing to celebrate three special people this month! We may be a little late to the post, but the love is constant and still very much on time. ♥️

May is Pediatric Feeding Disorders Awareness Month, and DKETC's May Dialogue couldn't have come at a better time! 🍽️

Yesterday, Teacher Chin facilitated 𝙈𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: 𝘼𝙙𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣—an intimate and meaningful session with families who showed up eager to learn about food selectivity and how to create more positive mealtime experiences with their children.

It may have been a smaller Dialogue this time, but we hope each parent left with full hearts, new insights, and a little more confidence heading into mealtimes. 💛
