As future healthcare leaders, service is in our blood. This Medicine Week 2026, we invite you to step forward and turn compassion into action!

In line with Republic Act No. 7719 (National Blood Services Act of 1994), DALOY is an initiative rooted in social accountability, altruism, and our Lasallian commitment to social justice. A single donation can mean everything to patients requiring transfusions, trauma care, and emergency medical treatments.

Whether you donate yourself or bring external donors—family, friends, or colleagues—your voluntary act directly helps save lives! As a nice bonus, every donor registered under your name gives a great boost to the Green Team 💚 or White Team 🤍!

Maybe 𝘺𝘰𝘶, an aspiring healthcare professional, find yourself reflected by those words. At one point, you might have questioned if you deserved to be in the same room as your peers. With all the failed tests despite candles burned on both ends, all the lectures that left you clueless, and all the concepts you have not grasped that made you re-evaluate your choice. When we are presented with evidence that we might not be good enough, it’s easy to agree with our conscience.

But weren’t you chosen? Among the long list of names in the pile of applications, you were deliberately picked out. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 is evidence of potential, not perfection. So let me rewire your cognition.

You weren’t selected to ace every test.

You are not your parents’ wasted investment.

You are not wasting your time on something you’re not good enough at.

No one enters medicine knowing everything.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 “𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁” 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.
