BACOLOD CITY SPED CENTER IS NOTHING WITHOUT OUR DEDICATED SPED TEACHERS! 💕

This Teachers’ Month, we celebrate the teachers who teach with patience, compassion, understanding, and heart.

Every small achievement, new skill, smile, and breakthrough is made possible by teachers who believe that every child can learn, grow, and shine.

To our amazing SPED teachers, thank you for being our learners’ constant guide, support, and inspiration.

Happy Teachers’ Month!

The Bacolod City SPED Center successfully conducted its School-Based Portfolio Day, Distribution of Report Cards, Individual Consultation, and Parent-Teacher Conferences on September 18, 2026, with the active participation of parents, guardians, and learners. The activity provided an avenue for parents and teachers to review learners’ portfolios and report cards, discuss their academic performance, developmental progress, accomplishments, and areas requiring continued support, and engage in individual consultations regarding each learner’s specific needs and educational goals. Through this meaningful school-home collaboration, the Bacolod City SPED Center continues to strengthen partnerships with families in providing appropriate support and opportunities for the holistic development of every Batang SPED.

PARAFEST 2026 LAUNCHED

9 September 2026 – Forty-eight learners showcased their athletic prowess during the two-day inaugural Parafest, a school-based sports activity designed to provide learners with athletic potential an opportunity to participate in various sporting events.

Inspired by the Paragames, the learners competed in athletics, bocce, goalball, chess, and badminton. Learners from different disability groups took part in the games, demonstrating their skills, determination, and sportsmanship.

The activity also served as a screening program to identify potential athletes who may represent the school in upcoming sports competitions.

The event was spearheaded by School Head Jenelyn Z. Macitas and School Sports Coordinator Rose Ann M. Azucena.

Due to inclement weather, the awarding ceremony originally scheduled for 9 September has been postponed to 16 September 2026.
