BIG YOUTH ENERGY starts with empowered student leaders sharing ideas for more innovative projects!
Also a big thanks to our Congressman Greg Gasataya for earnestly hearing our concerns regarding student rights, mental health, climate change and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Here’s to a busier and more collaborative youth through our local Student Council Federation. Stay tuned for updates!

“The success of a student government is measured not on the number of platforms exercised, but rather on the sustainability of its projects implemented for the student body.”
This is one of the principles that the College of Arts and Sciences Council wants to transpire. Thank you so much The Spectrum - USLS for publishing these two successful events: Martial Law Workshop and Exhibit under Human Rights and Democracy, ILAF, CYAN, Balayan and Political Science Society; and Student Rights and Welfare Forum under Youth for Sustainable Change and Akbayan Youth. JOINT STATEMENT OF Y4SC CEBU AND BACOLOD ON THE ISSUANCE OF THE MANDATORY PREGNANCY TEST ON ALL PCC STUDENTS
Youth for Sustainable Change (Y4SC)-Cebu and Bacolod, as an organization that strongly advocates for the passing of Students' Rights and Welfare (STRAW) Bill, condemns the recent memorandum released by the administrators of Pines City Colleges of Baguio City ordering the mandatory pregnancy testing of all female students.
This policy is a clear violation of the students' right to privacy and also a form of discrimination against the female students. Y4SC believes that schools should serve as safe spaces for everyone and for students to admit themselves without the threat of discrimination, especially of gender.
This is a call for the congress to see the urgency for the passing of the long pending Students' Rights and Welfare Bill because Y4SC believes that the passage of this bill will finally end all forms of discrimination and abuses towards our students.
We call upon to the youth, especially the students, to be in solidarity with us in pushing for the passing of STRAW Bill and actively campaign to end violations and abuses of students’ rights and welfare. # # #
