The 3rd Real-Life Business Development Seminar entitled “Employees’ Rights and Fair Labor Practices” was successfully held last March 7, 2026, at Northwest Inn, Bacolod City.

Mr. Mark Jayson Torres, Human Resource Manager of Kenneth Construction and General Merchandise, served as the resource speaker. He shared valuable expertise on the critical importance of upholding employee rights and implementing fair labor practices in the workplace.

The seminar was attended by 4th-year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration students majoring in Operations Management, who gained deeper knowledge of labor laws, ethical HR management, and responsible business leadership.

The College of Business and Entrepreneurship successfully concluded its Business Week 2026 held from March 16 to 20, 2026, with the theme “Building Real-World Business Skills and Future Opportunities.”

Students actively participated by operating campus booths, selling products on a consignment basis from local suppliers. This hands-on activity provided valuable learning experiences in B2B transactions, including supplier negotiation, inventory management, pricing strategies, sales, customer service, and financial tracking.

We extend our sincere gratitude to BPI, PNB, and Landers for gracing the event and offering our students the opportunity to open bank accounts and memberships.

Mrs. Joanne Belarma Mosquera, who shared insights on Entrepreneurship in Hospitality and F&B: From Concept to Successful Brand, and
Mr. Bill Christian Braza, who conducted a webinar on Daily Operations in the Petroleum Industry: Insights for Future Managers.

The culminating activity featured student performances, recognition of active participants and student representatives from various school activities such as Literary Musical, Guidance Week, and the upcoming Sportsfest. Special group awards were also given for Best Booth and Highest Cash Profit during Business Week.

Our 4th year BS Operations Management students have officially completed their 600 hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) across various sectors of the business industry. This milestone makes a significant step in their transition from learners to future professionals.

Our Riverside College 3rd year BSBA Operations Management students had an exciting field tour at Bongbong's Pasalubong Factory yesterday, April 26, 2025. Guided by their Facility Management teacher, Ms. Shanelle Anne Machan, MBA.

The students explored real-world operations, gaining first-hand insights into facility management in the food industry.

The 2nd Real-Life Business Development Seminar entitled "Labor Management" was held yesterday, April 26, 2025 at O Hotel Bacolod.

It was a great honor to have our resource speaker, Ms. Mary Agnes N. Capigon, the Supervising LEO of DOLE - Regional Office VI, Negros Occidental Provincial Office, who shared her expertise and provide valuable insights to our future business professionals on labor standard laws upholding the dignity of workers and promoting harmonious labor management relations, ensuring fairness, and safety.

As our graduating BSBA students embark on their professional journeys, they will be future ready to uphold responsible leadership, promote fair labor practices, and foster positive workplace environments.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. The HR Assistant will provide administrative support across a range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, records management, and general HR operations.
