ICPEP Represent ✊🏼👏🏼💯

THESE PROMISING INVENTORS MAY HAVE THE ANSWER TO OUR GARBAGE PROBLEMS

Three students from the Computer Engineering Department of the Colegio de San Agustin Bacolod who are candidates for graduation developed a smart trash bin that is powered by artificial intelligence or AI with an automated recycling system that identifies different garbage. Eldrych Ken Espiritu, Kesler John Banasig, and Mary Eden Ordanel made an invention that segregates paper, plastic, or metal and this has become the thesis project of the young inventors.

During a demonstration, the automatic trash bin seems to know the difference between the trash during the actual disposal. The smart trash bin also integrates a reward system for every trash a person disposes of.

Ken and the rest of the team believe that their project has a huge potential to help in segregating and recycling rubbish in the modern world, especially in Bacolod City where trash disposal has become a big problem.

This event also aims to clear student’s uncertainties in choosing what the best path is for them in the tech field.
