DAY 2 COUNTDOWN!

The cybersecurity and data privacy community are intensely focused on protecting individuals and organizations from data breach scandals, fragmented data privacy legislation, and misuse of personal information.

As social media platforms, virtual assistants, and engagement tracking tools continue to collect and refine our personal data, it’s only reasonable that we, as consumers continue to evaluate how we think about data privacy. We’re constantly balancing the value of our data against that of our privacy. Due to this, we are now seeing a shift from apathy to advocacy.

The best is yet to come! Exams are already done. Was it hard, confusing, easy, or bearable?

Now is the time to unwind and free yourselves from the stressful school work. Have a break and clear your minds. 🥳

As promised, we are now 2 days away from the special event.✨

The COUNTDOWN is OFFICIALLY ON! 🤸🏻‍♀️

The New Normal Age has been a rollercoaster ride for us Filipinos.

Events spanning from global pandemic to devastating tropical typhoons, and now to the recently ended Philippine elections, the internet has been a significant asset in keeping us connected and updated– or is it?

The rate of cybersecurity incidents, breaches, and ransomware attacks starting from the New Normal Age has been increasing at an alarming rate to which the associated costs have been damaging. The year 2022 is seen to possibly give rise and awareness to more Data Privacy Laws due to these events. It will be a year in which the world opens to broader enforcement and harsher penalties for violations of Data Privacy Protections.

People – ranging from major business tycoons to mere casual net strollers – should have an utmost (or even general) awareness of the significant risks towards personal data that comes with cybersecurity attacks and the efforts recommended to help reduce those deficits.

🔥 The HELL WEEK is ALMOST OVER! 🔥

It is the last day of exams and the end of the 2nd semester is drawing near. Is it just us or do we already smell the sea breeze and feel the coffee dates by the mountains already?

Our class understands how hectic and stressful the finals week is for everyone – especially our fellow Augustinian student nurses. So, all of us in BSN 2A would like to ask our dear readers a simple question.

🧜🏽‍♀️ “Is there anything in your mind that you would want to do once the summer season starts?”

Share your ideas down below and let us come in on the fun!

We are 3 days away from the event as we promised. Set your calendars straight as our once-in-a-lifetime experience towards the World of Data Privacy with Mr. Paolo G. Hilado is finally arriving!

Do not miss this opportunity to inform everyone and enjoy the webinar with us! Stay tuned for the upcoming announcements on our page. See ya ~ 🌷🌸

Introduction to “Privacy Matters Too!” Webinar

Living in a fast-paced world where technology and its relevant advancements in society plays a significant role in how we live our daily, everchanging lives has proven how far we evolved as one race.

Ever since the expansion of humanity to the virtual age, everything that our species have thought to be the impossible from eras before became possible with science. As the scope of technology reached its all-time high with accessibility and efficiency (from communication to education) towards letting us live our care-free lives, the possibility (and near possibilities) of our personal data and security being breached has also been raised to the maximum.

Data Privacy and Security is the unshakable bedrock for earning trust – only when handled responsibly. The earned trust allows one to innovate in ways that can benefit everyone around them, especially in the New Normal Age.

Now we ask YOU, dear reader. 🤸🏻‍♀️

If you are wondering:

🚩 “How do I properly leverage sensitive data without running afoul of statutory regulations?”
🚩 “How do I properly leverage sensitive data without compromising the trust of your data-sharing partners?”
🚩 “How do I properly leverage sensitive data without losing credence of the people my data represents”

Then our webinar entitled “Privacy Matters Too!” is especially catered for your pertinent questions. 💅🏼

The introduction to Data Privacy and Security gives us a solid overview of data privacy fundamentals – introducing us to the five (5) Safes of Risk-Based Anonymization.

This is only a glimpse of the many topics that will be discussed. If you want to expand your understanding, join us, the BSN 2A, in our webinar to be held live on Facebook and Zoom this coming Monday (May 30, 2022) at 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

Stay tuned for more daily updates posted at our page! See you there everyone ~ 🌸🌷
