The New Normal Age has been a rollercoaster ride for us Filipinos.

Events spanning from global pandemic to devastating tropical typhoons, and now to the recently ended Philippine elections, the internet has been a significant asset in keeping us connected and updated– or is it?

The rate of cybersecurity incidents, breaches, and ransomware attacks starting from the New Normal Age has been increasing at an alarming rate to which the associated costs have been damaging. The year 2022 is seen to possibly give rise and awareness to more Data Privacy Laws due to these events. It will be a year in which the world opens to broader enforcement and harsher penalties for violations of Data Privacy Protections.

People – ranging from major business tycoons to mere casual net strollers – should have an utmost (or even general) awareness of the significant risks towards personal data that comes with cybersecurity attacks and the efforts recommended to help reduce those deficits.

Being a proud professor of our renowned institution under the College of Health and Allied Professions - Medical Technology Program. He is the Club Mendel Adviser from 2018 to 2022 – a research organization for Augustinian students.

Our team has interviewed students (especially from the Medical Technology Program) who are under the clinical supervision of Mr. Hilado. We have inquired and gathered some of the major impressions and takeaways that they have of our guest speaker.

He was then awarded a certificate of recognition and appreciation by the Western Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium after the Memorandum of Agreement Signing and Recognition Activity last March 22, 2022, held at J7 Plaza Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

One great man can do so many but we cannot put out all of his accomplishments and legacy into this platform.
