Department lines disappeared last Saturday, June 27, 2026, as faculty from all colleges of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos mixed, mingled, and collaborated at Kampo Hiyang-Hiyang. The college faculty started the program with creativity during their hilarious, on-the-spot cheers and yells.

Instead of staying in their usual circles, faculty members were grouped together to enjoy the pool games, share challenges, stories, and build new friendships. It was a masterclass in fun collaboration. It was a day of laughter and learning from colleagues across different disciplines. They arrived as separate colleges but left Kampo Hiyang-Hiyang as one tightly knit university family.

Our ANTP, NTP, and Maintenance personnel recently gathered for a dynamic team-building activity at Kampo Hiyang-Hiyang last June 20, 2026.

Featuring intense, ice-cold, yet fun pool games, they spent the day bonding, laughing, and getting to know the new members of the other units. In the afternoon, they had a reflective group discussion centered around the theme, "Para kanino ka bumabangon?". The session allowed each member to share and listen and empathize with one another.

We are proud of all our hardworking personnel that keeps University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos running and rising every single day!

πŸ’™ JUNE is Men's Mental Health Month πŸ’™

This month, we recognize the importance of supporting the mental health and well-being of our male faculty, staff, administrators, and employees.

Men often carry many responsibilities and pressures, yet conversations about their mental health are sometimes overlooked. Taking care of one's mental well-being is not a sign of weakness. It is an act of courage, self-awareness, and strength.

At the UNO-R, we believe that mental health is important regardless of gender. Every individual deserves a safe, supportive, and caring environment where they can seek help, express their feelings, and prioritize their well-being without fear of judgment.

As we observe Men's Mental Health Month, let us continue to build a workplace culture where compassion, understanding, and support are available to everyone.

Remember:
βœ”οΈ It is okay to ask for help.
βœ”οΈ It is okay to take a break.
βœ”οΈ It is okay to prioritize your mental health.

Because every mind matters, and every person matters.
