𝗔𝗿𝘁, 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: 𝗔 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺

The 𝗗𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. embarked on a meaningful art appreciation journey at 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺, where history came alive beyond the pages of a textbook.

Through this immersive experience, the students explored the meaning behind abstract and contemporary artworks while developing a deeper and more critical appreciation of their own culture and heritage. They admired the 𝗿𝗮𝘄, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝘀 and 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 that characterize contemporary Western Visayan art.

Together with their college instructor, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗻𝗮 𝗖. 𝗘𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀, the students analyzed how visual expressions in Bacolod give voice to the untold stories, traditions, and experiences of our ancestors.

More than an appreciation of art, the visit became an opportunity to 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆.
