As we celebrate the 48𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤, we recognize the strength, courage, and achievements of persons with disabilities who continue to inspire us every day. Their lives remind us that every person deserves equal rights, respect, and the opportunity to achieve their dreams. Disability should never stop anyone from making a difference in society.

Inline with this, we honor the inspiring legacy of 𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐢, the "Sublime Paralytic" and one of the greatest heroes of the Philippines. We also celebrate the outstanding achievements of Filipino para-athletes 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐨𝐠, 𝐄𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧, 𝐀𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐠, and 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, they have proudly represented our country and shown that success comes from courage and dedication, not from physical ability alone.

Their stories encourage us to build a kinder and more inclusive community where everyone is valued and given the chance to learn, work, compete, and succeed. Let us continue to support the rights of persons with disabilities by promoting 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, and 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 for all. Together, we can create a Philippines where no one is left behind and everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
