๐ต๐ญ THE PHILIPPINES IS NOT FOR SALE ๐ต๐ญ
Pax Silica is a project that plans to build AI and semiconductor centers in the Philippines with the help of foreign investors. Some people believe it can bring jobs and new technology. But many Filipinos are worried that it could give too much control to foreign interests and put our land, water, and communities at risk.
We want progress, but not at the cost of our country. We should not trade our natural resources, our farmers' livelihoods, or our right to decide what is best for the Philippines.
Our country is more than just a place to do business. It is our home.
The Philippines is not for sale.
Say NO to Pax Silica. Let us choose development that puts Filipinos first and protects our land, our future, and our freedom. ๐ต๐ญ
Unahin ang bayan, bago ang dayuhan.

Day 2 | July 13, 2026 ๐ฑ
The learning continued as we explored the significance of the youth in building a better future. Through meaningful discussions and shared ideas, we were reminded that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow, we can also make a difference today.
The workshop inspired us to speak up, take initiative, and use what we've learned to create positive change in our school, our community, and beyond.
Our heartfelt thanks to the City Government of Bacolod, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and everyone who made this workshop possible. Thank you for giving student leaders the opportunity to learn, grow, and become part of the solution.
Together, we continue to learn, lead, and make a difference.

Day 1 | July 9, 2026 ๐ฟ
Vox Societa is grateful to the City Government Office of Bacolod, in partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), for inviting us to take part in the Climate Change and Sustainability Workshop for Student Leaders.
The first day of the workshop gave us a better understanding of climate change, sustainability, and the role we all play in protecting the environment. It reminded us that creating a greener future begins with the choices we make every day and our willingness to work together.
More than the lessons we gained, the workshop encouraged us to think about how we can put what we learned into practice. As student leaders, we hope to inspire others to care for the environment and show that even small actions can make a real difference.

What makes us Filipino?
Amid the challenges and controversies surrounding our government, many Filipinos find themselves questioning their sense of patriotism, while others have grown disillusioned and even doubtful of their identity as Filipinos. Is our economic situation really a valid reason to appreciate our culture less? With the rise of social media and increased connectivity with other countries, we often see more of their cultures and less of what our own country has to offer.
One of the recent news reports about the "Halfies" issue involving the two former representatives of the Philippines, Brandon Espiritu for Mister Supranational and Jether Palomo for Mister Global, goes to show how some do not seem to appreciate or understand what Filipinos can bring to the global stage. A controversy has emerged as renowned National Artist for Film, Mr. Eric Oteyza de Guia, popularly known as Kidlat Tahimik, has announced his willingness to relinquish his National Artist medallion. This decision is a protest against the proposed Reframed General Education Curriculum by the Commission on Higher Education Chairperson, Shirley Agrupis. Returning the medallion demonstrates Kidlat Tahimik's deep appreciation for Filipino culture and identity.
As a club dedicated to Humanities and Social Sciences, Vox Societa values these fields for their role in education. These not only provide knowledge and opportunities but also connect us to our past, help us understand our present, and guide our future. While our economic situation reflects history and politics, our culture represents our collective spirit.
A nation that doubts its own people and neglects the practices that preserve its culture gradually loses its identity. The true essence of being Filipino is not determined by foreign ancestry or external recognition, but by the confidence to celebrate and uphold our own heritage.

A new school year has officially begun, and Vox Societa is already making some noise. ๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ฃ
Our enlistment day was filled with excitement, laughter, and the chance to meet new faces who are ready to become part of our growing family. Through fun games, friendly interactions, students got a glimpse of what it means to be a member of Vox Societa.
The event also marked an important milestone as we welcomed and elected the officers who will help lead the organization throughout the year.
To everyone who stopped by, joined the activities, cast their votes, and showed their support, thank you for making the day a success. Your presence and participation reminds us that every great school year begins with people who are willing to participate, connect, and make a difference.
As we begin a new chapter, we remain committed to serving with a heart while using the mind. Through every activity, Vox Societa strives to inspire voices that care, think, and make a difference.

Philippine Independece Day
Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the Filipino๐ต๐ญ people as we commemorate Philippine Independence Day. On June 12, 1898, the Philippines declared its independence from Spanish ๐ช๐ธcolonial rule in Kawit, Cavite, marking a defining moment in our nation's journey๐ฃ๏ธtoward freedom ๐and self-determination.
This celebration is more than a remembrance of history, it is a tribute to the heroes who fought for our sovereignty
In the 21st century๐, Independence Day continues to hold great significance. It challenges us to preserve our freedom by being responsible citizens๐งโโ๏ธ๐งโโ๏ธ, promoting truth ๐and democracy, respecting our diverse communities๐ , and working together to build a stronger๐ช and more inclusive nation. As the next generation of Filipinos๐ต๐ญ, we carry the responsibility of shaping a future worthy of the sacrifices๐ฅ of those who came before us.
As we raise our flags๐ต๐ญ and reflect on our nation's history, let us celebrate not only the freedom we have inherited but also the opportunities and responsibilities that come with it.
Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! ๐ต๐ญ
