There are moments in life that we wish we could pause—to stay a little longer in the laughter, the excitement, and the company of people who make ordinary days memorable. Sometimes, all it takes is a familiar song, a childhood game, or the sound of laughter from a nearby kantonto bring us back to a time when life felt a little simpler.

Yesterday, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 celebrated its Acquaintance Party 2026 with the theme “𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐄: 𝐊𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚, 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐨, 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐚, 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐥𝐚, 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚.” More than an introduction among students and a celebration of new friendships, the event served as a journey back to the familiar sights, sounds, and experience of childhood.

The theme drew inspiration from the nostalgic atmosphere of a barangay fiesta—the kind where streets become filled with laughter, music, colorful decorations, friendly competitions, and people gathering together as one community. It brought to life the simple joys we once knew: playing games until sunset, cheering for our friends, running through the streets, hearing familiar voices from the neighborhood, and creating memories without realizing that one day, we would look back and miss them.

Through the different activities prepared for the participants, the laban was not only about winning. It was about camaraderie, teamwork, sportsmanship, and creating connections. Every cheer, every challenge, every laugh, and every unexpected moment became part of a shared experience that the CLASE community can carry with them.

Adding to the nostalgic atmosphere was the meaning song of 𝐈𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳’𝐬 “𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐚.” Its lyrics perfectly captured the heart of the celebration—a longing to revisit the moments, people, places, and little things that once made our childhood feel like home. For a brief moment, the song swallowed everyone to look back and remember the things that time may have taken away but could never completely erase.

Even with the unpredictable weather, the spirit of the celebration remained unwavering. The rain and changing weather could not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants. Instead, the day became another memory in itself—one that reminds us that sometimes, the most unforgettable moments are the ones we never planned.

Adding color and personality to the celebration, participants also came dressed in their respective kanto–inspired styles, bringing to life the different personalities, fashion, and character often seen in our own neighborhoods. From the outfits to the games and the atmosphere, every detail contributed to making the event feel like a celebration straight from the streets we grew up in.

At its heart, 𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐄 was more than a theme. It was a reminder of where many of our stories began.

𝓚𝓾𝓵𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓪 – the traditions and experiences that connect us.
𝓛𝓪𝓻𝓸 – the games that taught us how to compete, cooperate, and enjoy the moment.
𝓐𝓵𝓪𝓪𝓵𝓪 – the memories we continue to carry even as we grow older.
𝓢𝓲𝓰𝓵𝓪 – the energy and enthusiasm that bring a community together.
𝓔𝓼𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓲𝓽𝓪 – the familiar corners where childhood memories were made.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to our 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒏, 𝑫𝒓. 𝑱𝒂𝒏-𝑫𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑳. 𝑫𝒆𝒊𝒕𝒂, 𝑷𝒉𝑫, 𝑳𝑷𝑻, and to all of our 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒔 for gracing the event with their presence and for continuously providing their guidance and support.

And, of course, 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒕 who joined the celebration–thank you for bringing your energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to create new memories. An event becomes meaningful because of the people who choose to be part of it, and yesterday was made special because everyone contributed their own piece to the story.

Congratulations to all the barangays for showing not only their competitive spirit but also their teamwork, sportsmanship, creativity, and camaraderie throughout the celebration. Every point earned and every game played was a reflection of the collective effort of each team.

Time moves forward whether we are ready or not. The laughter eventually fades, the games come to an end, the decorations are taken down, and everyone eventually returns to their everyday lives.

But memories have a way of staying.
Perhaps that is the beauty of ana alaala–we cannot turn back time, but we can always return to a memory.
So, before this moment becomes another page in our story, let us take one last look at the day we spent together.

For a brief moment, the song swallowed everyone to look back and remember the things that time may have taken away but could never completely erase.

Even with the unpredictable weather, the spirit of the celebration remained unwavering. The rain and changing weather could not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants. Instead, the day became another memory in itself—one that reminds us that sometimes, the most unforgettable moments are the ones we never planned.

Adding color and personality to the celebration, participants also came dressed in their respective kanto–inspired styles, bringing to life the different personalities, fashion, and character often seen in our own neighborhoods. From the outfits to the games and the atmosphere, every detail contributed to making the event feel like a celebration straight from the streets we grew up in.

At its heart, 𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐄 was more than a theme. It was a reminder of where many of our stories began.

Yesterday, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 celebrated its Acquaintance Party 2026 with the theme “𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐄: 𝐊𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚, 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐨, 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐚, 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐥𝐚, 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚.” More than an introduction among students and a celebration of new friendships, the event served as a journey back to the familiar sights, sounds, and experience of childhood.

The theme drew inspiration from the nostalgic atmosphere of a barangay fiesta—the kind where streets become filled with laughter, music, colorful decorations, friendly competitions, and people gathering together as one community. It brought to life the simple joys we once knew: playing games until sunset, cheering for our friends, running through the streets, hearing familiar voices from the neighborhood, and creating memories without realizing that one day, we would look back and miss them.

Through the different activities prepared for the participants, the laban was not only about winning. It was about camaraderie, teamwork, sportsmanship, and creating connections. The wait is almost over! Before we gather for a day filled with fun, games, and nostalgic kanto vibes, take a moment to review the Program Flow, Things to Bring, and Attire Guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. 🎉

📌 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙬 – Stay updated with the schedule of activities so you won't miss any of the exciting events.
📌 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 – Come prepared and bring all the essentials you'll need throughout the program.
📌 𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 – Wear your prescribed civilian attire upon entering the campus and bring your Kanto-style outfit for the acquaintance party.

Attire upon entering the school:
❗️1st Year: Green or White Shirt with proper bottoms
❗️2nd–4th Year: Old Departmental Shirt with proper bottoms
