At 0500H on September 18, 2026, all Criminology students participated in a Physical Agility Test led by the Intern Officers under the guidance of Discipline Officer, PMaj. Benedicto A. Villiarias Jr.(Ret.), RCrim, MSCJ

The activity began with warm-ups and physical exercises, followed by a class jog. It concluded with the agility test, consisting of push-ups and sit-ups, where students performed the maximum number of repetitions they could complete within one minute.

The activity provided an opportunity for Criminology students to build and assess their physical strength, endurance, discipline, and readiness while developing the physical conditioning needed throughout their training.

UNO-R Criminology Goes Global: Forging New Paths in Forensic Science.

The University of Negros Occidentalโ€“Recoletos, Inc. (UNO-Recoletos) and Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) in Thailand are exploring new opportunities for Faculty and Student Development specialized academic collaboration in Forensic Science, Criminology, and international research following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 16, 2026.

The partnership opens opportunities for the College of Criminal Justice Education Faculty Members and Students to explore collaboration in areas such as cadaver management, emergency medical response, disaster risk preparedness and management, and other initiatives designed to strengthen studentsโ€™ technical competencies, laboratory experience, and global learning.

The MOU was signed by Rev. Fr. Joel A. Alve, OAR, University President of UNO-R, and Dr. Jonathan Rante Carreon, Vice President of HCU, with Rev. Fr. Leo G. Alaras, OAR, Vice President for Academics and Research.

The signing ceremony and visits to partner schools were facilitated by the Office of Internationalization, under the leadership of Dr. Yasmin Pascual-Dormido, with UNO-Rโ€™s criminology delegation represented by Dr. Jean Pauyon of the College of Criminal Justice Education.

Through this partnership, UNO-R continues to strengthen its commitment to internationalization, specialized learning, research collaboration, and industry-relevant educationโ€”connecting its criminology programs with global expertise, specialized facilities, and meaningful learning opportunities in Thailand.

Class HIRAYON Criminology Interns wrapped up the last session of the PROREF Review after seven sessions held every weekend. Each session was an opportunity to revisit key concepts, strengthen understanding, and prepare for the challenges ahead.

With the revalida exam drawing closer, the hard work continues as the interns put their knowledge and preparation to the test.
