Drug Awareness and Prevention Month 2025
โAwakened: A Visual Campaign Against Drugsโ Film Showing
In celebration of the Drug Awareness Month, the Guidance Services Center had a film showing at the Wellness Room from November 18-19, 2025. The film showing aimed to raise awareness on the harmful effects of drug misuse and to encourage students to make informed, responsible, and healthy lifestyle decisions. Through powerful visuals and real-life narratives, the different films highlighted the realities of substance abuse, its impact on individuals and families, and the importance of early prevention and support.
Students from various departments watched the films during their vacant time, and they were able to learn from the different movies shown during the two-day film showing. This initiative forms part of the universityโs continuous efforts to promote well-being, awareness, and proactive advocacy within the campus community.

Amazing Race 2025: Strive with Purpose. Live with Power.
The different college departments with their amazing representatives made the campus alive as they raced and strategized the campus grounds in this yearโs Amazing Race Competition last December 1, 2025.
The dynamic series of challenges were designed to promote teamwork, problem-solving, and healthy competition. Each team showcased remarkable determination and cooperation as they worked together to overcome every task set before them.
After the thrilling race, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) emerged as Champions, followed by the College of Education (CED) as 2nd runner-up, and the College of Engineering (COE) as the 3rd runner-up respectively. Kudos to all the winners and to every department who joined in this yearโs Amazing Race competition.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all students who participated in the event, as well as to the marshals and volunteers who ensured the smooth and orderly flow of each challenge. And to the students, faculty and staff for their support and cheers during the competition. Your commitment and support played a significant role in making this activity successful.

The Panel Discussion last November 17, 2025 held at the Student Activity Center became a meaningful space for learning, reflection, and open dialogue as experts from different fields came together to shed light on the complexities of drug use, its impact, and the pathways toward prevention and recovery.
Experts from different fields gathered and shared their perspectives on substance abuse and different support services available for those who wish to seek help. Our panelistsโMs. Josephine Acot, RN, who shared compassionate insights on health and rehabilitation; Mr. Carlo Pi-ad, RCrim, who provided a clear perspective on law enforcement and community safety; and Ms. Ma. Lynette Bodios, MAPsy, RPm, who highlighted the psychological dimensions and the importance of mental well-being, each brought depth and clarity to the discussion.
