🌿 Psychotrauma Corner: November 13-14, 2025 💜

I am deeply grateful to be at Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology for the 1st Psychotrauma National Conference 2025, organized by the National Association for Psychotrauma Workers, Corp. (NAPWorC) last November 13-14, 2025.

It is truly humbling to represent Mental Health Negros and Negros Island Region alongside MHN Consultant and NAPWorC President, Dr. Johnny Decatoria, who also served as the Keynote Speaker for this landmark event.

This journey is especially meaningful to me, not only because it marks an important step in advancing psychotrauma work and mental health advocacy nationwide, but also because this is my first travel for advocacy work and at Mindanao 🇵🇭

I am also honored to have officially taken my oath as the Focal Person of the Negros Island Region, alongside the amazing Visayas team, Jose Jeffrey S. Puentespina, PhD, RPsy Coordinator, Visayas Chapter, Jade S. Ermitaño, RPsy, RPm Iloilo Province Focal Person, Caressa Lynn A. Siglos, PhD, RPm, Capiz Province Focal Person and to witness a historic and inspiring research studies, alongside pillars of Philippine psychology - Dr. Johnny Decatoria and Ms. Miriam Cue, Chairperson of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and a legacy as the first psychologist in the country. 🦋

Thankful for the trust, mentorship, experience and opportunity to serve on a national platform. 💚✨

🌿 Mental Health Corner: September 23, 2025 💜

In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Human Resource Management Services (HRMS) conducted a mental health seminar titled “Mindful Service: Caring for Yourself while Serving Others.”

The session emphasized the “Puso” component of this year’s theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan,” highlighting compassion, self-care, and well-being as essential to effective public service.

Facilitated by Renbelin G. Rodrigo, RPm, part of the HR Team of City of Bacolod (HRMS) and mental health advocate, the activity reminded participants that caring for oneself is key to serving others wholeheartedly.
