In a steadfast display of institutional synergy and patriotism, the Colegio San Agustin - Bacolod (CSA-B) National Service Training Program (NSTP), under the resolute leadership of NSTP Director Ms. Ma. Theresa A. Tingson, MBA, successfully spearheaded a joint cooperation National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Symposium.
Designed to fortify situational awareness among the student body, the high-level engagement placed a critical operational focus on both internal and external security concerns, drilling down specifically into the geopolitical landscape and defense imperatives of the West Philippine Sea (WPS).
The formation brought together a formidable cooperation of NICA NIR Representatives,COL DON L VILLANUEVA GSC (INF) PA – Director, 605th Community Defense Center (605th CDC),
Personnel from the 303rd CMO Battalion and 79IB,CSAB ROTC Training Staff, under the direct command of CPT ORLANDO D FAREN (RES) PA ,CWTS, LTS, and ROTC Cadets of Colegio San Agustin - Bacolod.
Resource speakers delivered a comprehensive briefing on external security dynamics, emphasizing territorial integrity, national sovereignty, and strategic challenges within the West Philippine Sea. Discussions tackled domestic peace-building operations, community defense strategies, and civil-military coordination to maintain regional stability. By convening students across CWTS, LTS, and ROTC components, the symposium effectively instilled core values of discipline, national consciousness, and civic responsibility, preparing the youth to act as vigilant stakeholders in national security.
