Face-to-face classes in PRIMARY and SECONDARY levels in all PUBLIC SCHOOLS in the City of Bacolod are SUSPENDED on October 14, 2025 in view of the ongoing Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) being jointly conducted by the City Engineer’s Office (CEO) and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and upon the recommendation of the Department of Education- Division of Bacolod City brought about by the recent earthquake experienced in the City of Bacolod.

The public schools concerned are encouraged to shift to modular distance learning, performance tasks and projects to ensure that learning competencies are met.

Classes in the PUBLIC TERTIARY LEVEL and PRIVATE SCHOOLS are left to the discretion of their respective school heads and safety officers.

Face-to-face classes in all levels in both public and private schools in Bacolod City are SUSPENDED effective today, October 10, 2025, upon the recommendations of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and the Department of Education-Division of Bacolod City in view of the recent 7.5 magnitude earthquake in Davao Oriental which was also felt in some areas in the City of Bacolod.

Schools are encouraged to shift to modular distance learning, and performance tasks and projects to ensure that learning competencies are met.

Face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private schools in Bacolod City are suspended today, October 1, 2025, as recommended by the Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) following the Intensity V earthquake felt in the city last night as reported by PHIVOLCS. Schools are encouraged to shift to synchronous and alternative modes of online learning.

Work in government offices is likewise suspended. However, offices providing basic, vital, and health services, as well as those performing preparedness and response functions, shall continue to operate to ensure uninterrupted delivery of essential government services.

Private establishments and offices are strongly encouraged to conduct Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis to safeguard the safety and welfare of their employees.

As an institution that recognizes the importance of community relations and holistic development, we are deeply saddened by the recent fire incident at Barangay 27, Bacolod City that left approximately 270 families affected and displaced in our community. Considering this tragedy, the Senior Plus Red Cross Youth Volunteer and Scouting Unit 555 of Mansilingan Agro-Industrial High School are launching a donation drive to support the survivors who have lost their homes, belongings, and sources of livelihood.

Your generosity can make a difference. We accept donations in the form of:

🧼3. Hygiene Supplies (soap, toothpaste, and toothbrush)
