Handumanan National High School Launches Successful Livelihood Training Program

Bacolod City, Philippines - In a bid to uplift the community and equip students with essential skills, Handumanan National High School has unveiled its highly anticipated Livelihood Training Program. Attended and supported by key figures including the School Principal, Sir Allan M. Pomada, Assistant Principal, Maam Arlene M. Serisola, Head Teacher of TLE and Araling Panlipunan Department, School Parents-Teachers Association Officers, Masters Teachers, TLE & TVL Teachers, and 27 students from the STEP and ICT Club, the launch marked a promising start to a transformative initiative.

Scheduled for three consecutive Fridays on November 17, 24, and December 1, 2023, this comprehensive program offers four specialized courses: Dressmaking, Nail Care Services, Foot Spa Massage, and ICT Literacy. Each course is meticulously designed to equip participants with practical skills essential for both personal development and potential income generation.

The initiative, a demonstration of the school's commitment to community welfare, aims to address socioeconomic challenges faced by underserved communities. By providing crucial livelihood skills training, Handumanan National High School seeks to facilitate sustainable income generation opportunities among students and parents in these areas.

This comprehensive initiative signifies a shift towards a more inclusive and holistic education approach, intertwining classroom learning with practical skill acquisition. The program's courses intend to bridge the gap between education and income generation, fostering economic independence within local communities.

HNHS’ TLE and TVL Teachers Take the Lead in Capacity Building Activity for the Incoming Livelihood Training Program

Bacolod City, May 24 - In a remarkable display of dedication and commitment, the teachers of Handumanan National High School went above and beyond their regular duties to conduct a capacity-building activity aimed at empowering the students and parents of the school through a livelihood training program. The program, which took place on May 24, witnessed an overwhelming response from Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track (TVL) Teachers.

Under the visionary guidance of the school administration, Sir Allan Pomada, Maam Arlene Serisola, Sir Honorio Manuel Contreras (Cons Homacon), Maam Divina Sison (Divina Nogalo), Sir Mel Andrew Generosa, and compassionate educators recognized the importance of equipping students and parents with essential life skills and knowledge beyond the confines of traditional academics. The livelihood training program provided practical education and empowered participants to explore diverse career opportunities.
