With joyful hearts and grateful spirits, the Colegio San Agustin–Bacolod, through the Campus Ministry Office, invites the entire Augustinian community to participate in the Novena Masses in preparation for the Feast of St. Augustine of Hippo, our Holy Father and patron.

This year’s celebration carries the theme:

“St. Augustine: Herald of the City of God”

Join us as we come together in prayer, reflection, and thanksgiving from August 19 to 27, 2026, at the CSA-B Chapel, as we journey toward the Solemn Feast of St. Augustine.

May these novena celebrations deepen our faith, strengthen our communion, and inspire us to live out the Augustinian values of truth, love, community, and service.

We likewise invite everyone to join the Feast Day Eucharistic Celebration on August 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the CSA-B Gymnasium, to be presided over by Most Rev. Louie P. Galbines, SThD, D.D., Bishop of Bacolod.

VIVA SAN AGUSTIN!

Industry exposure has long been an integral part of the learning experience at the College of Accountancy, Business Education, and Computer Studies (CABECS) of Colegio San Agustin–Bacolod CSAB. For years, CABECS has cultivated partnerships with various organizations and companies, giving students valuable opportunities to step beyond the classroom and experience the realities of the professional world. These longstanding industry linkages have become an important component of CABECS's commitment to making learning relevant, practical, and responsive to the demands of the workplace.

What makes this year's initiative particularly distinctive, however, is the strengthened and expanded network of industry partners formally brought together through a Ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing held on August 14, 2026, at the CSAB Auditorium. The MOAs build on CABECS's continuing industry-academe engagements while opening more diverse and meaningful opportunities for students under its OJT and Internship Programs for Academic Year 2026–2027 in collaboration with the External Relations, Internationalization and Linkages Office. The expanded partnership network brings together organizations from the hospitality, accounting, finance, business, education, technology, and professional services sectors, creating a broader range of environments where students can apply their knowledge and develop workplace competencies.

CABECS - led by its Dean, Fr. Manuel M. Vergara, OSA and Associate Dean, Mr. Louie C. Pagdato, MBA, CMMS and the different program heads - welcomed Roy’s Hotel and Convention Center, Seda Hotel, Stonehills Suites Bacolod, Garriel Angel and Associates, CPAs, J.A. Lamboso and Co., CPAs, Pivotal Review and Tutorial Center Inc. (PRTC), Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc., Association of Negros Producers, PEARTH Lending Corporation, and Teachmint Technologies Inc.

Through these strengthened partnerships, CABECS is not starting something new - it is building on years of industry collaboration and taking it to a broader and more strategic level, ensuring that Augustinian students are given greater opportunities to connect academic learning with actual professional practice and prepare themselves for the evolving world of work.

VIVA SAN AGUSTIN! Another board exam triumph adds to Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod’s growing record of licensure excellence as its Mechanical Engineering graduates deliver a strong performance in the August 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination (MELE).

CSAB posted a 60.00% passing rate among its first-time takers, significantly surpassing the 36.95% national passing rate. Its overall passing rate of 50.00% likewise remained well above the national figure.

Adding further distinction to the achievement, CSAB emerged as the best-performing private higher education institution in Negros Occidental offering the BS in Mechanical Engineering program in the August 2026 MELE. This board exam result reinforces the institution’s consistent record of outstanding performance in professional licensure examinations and its commitment to producing competent, industry-ready professionals.

LOOK | Business, Information Technology and Engineering students and faculty of CSAB gathered for an informative session on the Taiwan INTENSE Program, opening new academic and global career pathways.

The session provided valuable insights into the benefits of studying and living in Taiwan, the step-by-step application process for partner universities under the INTENSE Program, and specialized opportunities available to graduating students and alumni.

Highlighting the event was the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between CSAB and INTACT Base Taiwan. The partnership was formally sealed by Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA, representing CSAB, and Ms. Krystl Lim, representing INTACT Base Taiwan.

More than a partnership, the initiative brings the world closer to CSAB - giving its students and faculty members meaningful opportunities to learn across borders, engage with diverse cultures, and grow as globally minded professionals.

VIVA SAN AGUSTIN! There are milestones that are celebrated because they are new. And then there are milestones that matter because they affirm what an institution has consistently worked to become.

For the Nursing Program of CSAB, achieving Level III Reaccredited Status from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities is precisely that kind of milestone.

It is a recognition earned not in a single moment, but through years of purposeful work -- classroom instruction strengthened by clinical experience, faculty committed to continuous improvement, students challenged to meet high standards, and an academic community that understands that excellence is not a destination but a continuing responsibility.

Behind every CSAB nursing graduate who steps into a hospital, a community, or a healthcare setting is a program that has continually asked an essential question: Are we preparing our students well enough for the kind of nurses the world needs?

The Level III reaccredited status is a resounding affirmation.

It recognizes CSAB Nursing Program’s sustained efforts in teaching and learning, clinical preparation, student support, faculty development, academic systems, and quality assurance. More importantly, it reflects a culture in which improvement is not undertaken merely for accreditation, but because quality nursing education ultimately means better-prepared professionals entrusted with the care of others.

For CSAB, this achievement is also deeply connected to its vision of forming nurses who are not only clinically competent, but compassionate, ethical, technologically prepared, and globally responsive. Recent initiatives in telehealth nursing and international exposure further demonstrate the program’s commitment to bringing nursing education beyond traditional boundaries.

VIVA SAN AGUSTIN | Technology may be transforming healthcare, but it will never replace the heart of nursing. This was the central message of a symposium on telehealth nursing hosted by Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod on August 6 at the CSAB Gym, bringing together student nurses, clinical instructors and other delegates from the University of St. La Salle, Riverside College, and the State University of Northern Negros.

With Mr. John Iver Z. Solidum III, RN, MSN, CDP, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Premium Care Solutions Philippines Inc., serving as resource speaker, the symposium explored the expanding role of telehealth in modern healthcare and its significance in preparing nurses for an increasingly digital and interconnected profession. Mr. Solidum emphasized that technology enhances - not replaces - bedside nursing, highlighting the need for future-ready nurses who are technologically competent while remaining firmly grounded in compassionate, patient-centered care.

CSAB continues to lead innovation in nursing education as the first nursing school in the Philippines to provide students with hands-on international Telehealth Nursing exposure, allowing them to engage in real telehealth services with patients based abroad.

Furthermore, CSAB’s commitment to global and technology-enabled nursing education is reinforced by its distinction as the only Philippine nursing school affiliated with the National League for Nursing (NLN), USA, and as the first to establish partnerships with Premium Care USA and Premium Care Solutions Philippines, Inc.

Through these initiatives and partnerships, CSAB continues to set borderless education preparing nurses not only to respond to the future of healthcare, but to help shape it -- where technology and human compassion work hand in hand.
