PRIDE AND PATRONAGE. Rizal Elementary School, alongside faculty, staff, Philippine National Police
(PNP) and Department of Education (DepEd) officials of Bacolod City celebrated National Flag Day at Rizal Park, May 28.
The event aims to commemorate the first unfurling of the Philippine flag all the way from May 28, 1898 after the victory in Battle of Alapan, Imus, Cavite.
In Filipino history, the flag represents hardships, growth, and a countryโs pride. As one grows, we look to the flag in remembrance of all those events and as a symbol of hope for a better future. Thus, it is a waving symbol of resilience and hope for each Filipino.
Today, as we celebrate National Flag Day, let us reflect that every thread of our flag tells stories of battles to freedom, symbolizes steadfast valor for unity and reverence to the history.
Happy National Flag Day!๐ต๐ญ
