Classes are suspended today as advised by our city mayor and upon the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) following the recent 6.0 magnitude earthquake in Bogo City, Cebu, which was felt in some areas of Bacolod City.

The school will continue to conduct a thorough safety inspection of all school facilities to ensure that the building remains secure for continued learning and safe occupancy.

The school upholds its mission to prioritize the welfare and safety of every student above all else, and we will take every step necessary to maintain a secure learning environment.

In these shakening and trying times, let’s continue to be firm in our faith and strengthen our prayers. 🙏🏻

Classes will be suspended tomorrow, October 01, 2025, following the recent 5.3 magnitude earthquake. This measure is to give way to a thorough safety inspection of all school facilities to ensure that the building remains secure for continued learning and safe occupancy.

To make sure that learning will not be disrupted, teachers will provide online activities for students to accomplish during the suspension.

The school upholds its mission to prioritize the welfare and safety of every student above all else, and we will take every step necessary to maintain a secure and conducive learning environment for all SSISians.

Announcement: Presidential Declaration on National Family Week

In accordance with the recent declaration by the Office of the President, classes from all levels will be suspended tomorrow, September 22, 2025 starting at 1:00 PM to celebrate the 33rd National Family Week. This is in observance of Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992) and Proclamation No. 326 (s. 2012), which emphasize the importance of strengthening family bonds.

As we celebrate this special occasion, we are reminded of the significance of family gatherings in fostering stronger relationships and nurturing values that bind us together. SSIS stands committed to promoting and building strong family ties, aligning with the national vision to support Filipino families.

Let us take this time to celebrate the love, unity, and support that families bring to each other’s lives.
