Pursuant to Executive Order No. 55, Series of 2025, Mayor Greg Gasataya declares the suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools in Bacolod City on September 26, 2025 due to PAGASA's Heavy Rainfall Warning brought about by Tropical Cyclone Opong and the Southwest Monsoon.

Private schools with asynchronous and online classes may continue at the discretion of their school administration.

The public disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. PAGASA Regional Services Divisions may issue Heavy Rainfall Warnings/Thunderstorm Advisories, and other severe weather information specific to their areas of responsibility as appropriate.
Unless significant changes occur, the next Weather Advisory will be issued at 5:00 AM tomorrow.

Kaya nitong mag-generate ng impormasyon ukol sa mga iba't ibang uri ng hazards tulad ng seismic, volcanic, at hydrometeorologic (baha at landslide). Bukod pa rito, may iba pa itong mga feature tulad ng Safe Open Spaces (NCR), Typhoon Cyclone Track, Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring, at iba pang mga records ng mga sakuna sa nakalipas na mga taon.

Ang HazardHunterPH ay isang proyekto ng GeoRisk Philippines, isang multi-agency initiative na pinangungunahan ng DOST-PHIVOLCS. Kasama ring bumuo ng proyektong ito ang DOST-PAGASA, DOST-ASTI, DENR-MGB, DENR-NAMRIA, DND-OCD, at DepEd.

𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | PHIVOLCS warns possible Kanlaon eruption

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) observed a swelling in the structure, warning citizens of the huge possibility that Kanlaon might erupt, July 15.

Due to the continuous volcanic earthquake activity and the elevation of sulfur dioxide, the latest changes in ground deformation could further indicate that magmatic intrusion beneath the edifice may be taking place.

Kanlaon remains under Alert Level 2 and a 4-kilometer permanent danger zone is still observed.
