Ang paglaban sa sakit na ito ay nagsisimula sa pagtanggal ng stigma, pagtanggap, at pagpapakalat ng tamang impormasyon upang labanan ang diskriminasyon at hikayatin ang lahat na magpa-test. Ang maagang pagtukoy at tuloy-tuloy na gamutan ay kritikal upang mapabuti ang kalidad ng buhay at maiwasan ang pagkalat ng virus.
