The Philippine Association of Students in Office Administration (PASOA) spearheaded the flag ceremony on September 14 in front of the Bacolod City College (BCC) Activity Center, gathering students, faculty, and staff of the BCC community in a shared moment of respect, patriotism, and unity.

More than a regular school tradition, the ceremony serves as a reminder of the values that student leaders and members of the community carry beyond the classroomโ€”respect for the nation, responsibility to one another, and pride in being part of BCC.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, reminding everyone that struggles are not always visibleโ€”many carry battles they never speak about. Behind every laugh, there may be stories we know nothing about.

A gentle word, a listening ear, a sincere check-in, or simply choosing to treat others with kindness can reach further than expected. A little patience, compassion, respect, and understanding can make someone feel seen when they need it most.

Take care of yourself, acknowledge your own feelings, treat yourself as how you would treat others, and seek support when needed.

Together, let's make this world safe. No one should feel that their life doesn't matter. Because every life does.

Spill the teaโ€”anonymously. The PASOA Rant Box by the CBOA Office window is your low-drama mic: drop concerns, suggestions, or reports to help level up our learning space and protect everyoneโ€™s rights.

Weโ€™re building a campus free from bullying and harassmentโ€”no receipts needed. Leave constructive feedback and watch the community get better, one anonymous note at a time.

๐€๐ƒ๐•๐ˆ๐’๐Ž๐‘๐˜ | The BCC โ€“ Philippine Association of Students in Office Administration (PASOA) would like to extend its sincere apologies for the concerns and confusion regarding the suspected use of AI in some of the entries submitted for the Digital Making Contest.

As stated in the competition's guidelines and mechanics, the use of AI-generated content is strictly prohibited. However, there has been an oversight in certain entries. To address the concerns raised and ensure that the rules were implemented fairly and consistently, the organization conducted further verification.

Upon thorough checking, one entry was disqualified and removed after it was confirmed that AI was used. Meanwhile, another entry that was initially flagged was reviewed and confirmed to be the participant's original work.

We acknowledge that a more thorough verification should have been conducted before the entries were posted, and we sincerely apologize for this oversight. We understand the importance of fairness and recognize the time, effort, and creativity each participant dedicated to their work. Rest assured that we remain committed to upholding the rules and ensuring a fair and transparent process for all participants.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Today, August 31, 2026, we celebrate National Heroes Day to remember and honor the courage, sacrifices, and love for the country that helped shape the Philippines we call home. It is a day to pay tribute to the Filipino heroes who dedicated their lives and made sacrifices for our freedom and our nation.

Every year, we celebrate National Heroes Day to honor not only the Filipinos who gave their lives for our freedom, but also to recognize the courage and efforts of ordinary Filipinos who continue to stand for what is right, seek justice, help others, and contribute to the progress of our country. May their courage and love for the Philippines continue to inspire us to do our part in building a better nation.
