Yesterday, July 18, 2026, 14 Marisian learners proudly represented Stella Maris Academy at the Bacnotan Youth Drowning Prevention Forum 2026 held at Baroro Covered Court and Verdant Resort, organized by the LGU of Bacnotan.

Stella Maris Academy's School Principal, teachers, and staff took a step beyond awareness and into action through their participation in the OLP (Obligasyon sa Bayan: Ligtas na Pamayanan) Seminar conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection โ€“ Province of La Union, Bacnotan Fire Station.

What began as a seminar became a blueprint for a safer school communityโ€”strengthening preparedness through the formation of a Community Fire Auxiliary Group and the creation of an Evacuation Map.

Because safety is not left to chance. It is planned, practiced, and shared by everyone.

On June 18, 2026, Stella Maris Academy successfully conducted its Earthquake Drill, reinforcing the importance of preparedness, safety awareness, and responsible action within the school community.

Learners, teachers, and staffโ€”collectively known as the Marisiansโ€”demonstrated commendable cooperation, discipline, and readiness throughout the activity. Their active participation reflected a shared commitment to fostering a safe and secure learning environment for all.
