UniFAST Bicol Intensify Coordination Between HEIs Through USAP UniFAST

CHED-UniFAST Region V conducted its first Ugnayan ng mga Scholarship Coordinators Upang I-angat ang mga Programa ng UniFAST Bicol (USAP UniFAST) to Albay Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) at Vela Hotel, Legazpi City.

With its aim to intensify coordination in implementing UniFAST programs, participants actively participated during the discussions, such as the new revised TES and TDP guidelines, disbursement for AY 2026-2027, and presentation of HIGHEST Bicol.

One of the major highlights of the activity is the awarding of certificates of commendation to selected HEIs and focal persons who demonstrated exemplary commitment to timely and complete submission of billing, liquidation, validation, and all other UniFAST documentary requirements.

Six (6) HEIs and eight (8) focal persons have been awarded during the event who demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and unwavering support for the efficient implementation of student financial assistance programs in Higher Education Institutions.

Before the end of the activity, participants signed the commitment tarp signifying their commitment and full coordination with UniFAST Bicol, especially with the provincial focal and UniFAST Accounting unit, to ensure the fastest and accurate submission of billing documents and liquidation reports.

📍Look: The personnel of Bacacay Municipal Police Station together with MDRRMO Bacacay and other partner agencies successfully conducted a School Incident Simulation Exercise at Bicol Training and Technological College, Inc.

This simulation was designed to assess proper coordination, active preparedness and rapid response capabilities of agencies in terms of school incidents and unexpected situations that needs proper management. A safest way to test, practice and predict real-world outcomes without real-world risks or costs.
