Vinisitahan National High School Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) President Jessabelle Sierra participated in the 2-day live in training through Project LIDER (Capacity Building to Student Organization Officers and Psychological Support to Learners) on April 5-6, 2024 at Daraga National High School, Daraga, Albay.
Said training aimed to broaden and deepen student-leaders' knowledge and skills in campus leadership to develop them as effective leaders of their respective schools and communities as well as their emotional aspects.
YES-O, BKD, and SSLG student leaders who served as the training's participants attended sessions on the following subjects on day one: Maka-Diyos: The Power of Prayer by Maria Carmela Geromo, SSLG Teacher-Adviser of Daraga National High School, and Maka-Tao: Student Leadership in Zen Z by Dr. Ryan L. Ojano, SSLG Teacher-Adviser of Malapay High School.
On the second training day, Erick P. Cañaveral expounded on Maka-Kalikasan: Student Leader as Advocate of Nature, while Christina B. Vergara, SSLG Teacher-Adviser of Batan NHS, addressed Maka-Bansa: Examining the Nationalism of Youth.
The PFA Team also provided Psychological First Aid Training to the participants.
