🚨 DIVISION ADVISORY | HEIGHTENED VIGILANCE AND PROACTIVE SCHOOL SAFETY
In light of recent reports of security threats involving schools, the Schools Division of Negros Oriental reminds all School Heads to remain calm, vigilant, and proactive in safeguarding our learners and personnel.
🔴 Do not be complacent. Any threat, suspicious message, or alarming information must be given appropriate attention and promptly reported to the proper authorities.
We encourage all schools to:
✅ Strengthen coordination with parents and guardians
✅ Work closely with the PNP, barangay officials, and community stakeholders
✅ Review and reinforce existing school security and emergency protocols
✅ Properly document and report security concerns
✅ Avoid spreading unverified information and rely on official communication channels
✅ Ensure that school personnel are prepared to respond appropriately during emergencies
School safety is a shared responsibility. Through strong partnerships among schools, families, law enforcement, local government, and the community, we can help keep our schools safe and secure.
