Atok Mps Leads Information Campaign on Crime Prevention for Junior and Senior High School Students
Boneng Integrated School (BIS), in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Atok Municipal Police Station and other community stakeholders, successfully conducted its National Crime Prevention Week Program on September 4, 2025. With the theme "Pinalakas na Pamahalaang Lokal para sa Ligtas na Pamayanan: Pagpapatibay ng mga Programa sa Pag-iwas sa Krimen sa Ilalim ng CSOP,"
this activity aimed to raise awareness among students about crime prevention, public safety, and community responsibility.
The Highlights of the IEC are:
Environmental Health Zero Open Defecation (ZOD): Ricky M. Alos, Sanitary Inspector, emphasized the importance of environmental sanitation and personal hygiene in preventing health-related problems in the community.
Republic Act 8353 (Anti-Rape Law of 1997): PCpl Cren Jane P Dangsian of WCPD PNCO discussed the law’s provisions and highlighted the importance of protecting the rights and dignity of individuals.
Anti-Illegal Drugs Awareness Campaign: PCpl Fermin D Baskial, MCAD PNCO, presented the harmful effects of illegal drugs and the government’s programs to combat drug abuse.
Anti-Terrorism Awareness Campaign & Relevant Municipal Ordinances: PCpl Arthur L. Luis Jr.., MPSMT PNCO, explained laws and ordinances aimed at maintaining peace and order in the locality.
Anti-Bullying and Anti-Criminality Measures & Basic Motorcycle Safety Tips: PCpl Joenard C Dep-as, MCAD PNCO, underscored the importance of respect, discipline, and responsibility among students.
To further engage the learners, BIS held contests such as slogan making, poster making, and a jingle competition. These activities gave students the opportunity to creatively express their understanding of crime prevention and community safety.
