🦷 HEALTHY SMILES, HEALTHY LEARNERS | Dental Check-Up and Dental Health Education at Inalig ES
Good oral health is an important part of every learner’s overall health, well-being, and readiness to learn. With this in focus, Inalig Elementary School learners received dental health services from Dr. Jose Macario Ernie “Maikie” Patiño, School Dentist and SDO Quezon’s Dentist-in-Charge.
The activity included dental check-ups and dental health education, with Dr. Maikie teaching and reminding learners about proper toothbrushing, good oral hygiene practices, and the importance of caring for their teeth from an early age. Learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 participated in the activity.
Regular dental examinations help detect oral health concerns early, while dental education helps children develop healthy habits they can practice every day. Preventing tooth decay, pain, and other dental problems also matters in school, as these can affect a child’s nutrition, attendance, concentration, and participation in learning.
Bringing these services directly to Inalig ES makes preventive care and health education more accessible to our learners—helping them understand that caring for their health is also part of becoming responsible and empowered individuals.
Because healthy smiles help build healthy, confident, and learning-ready children. 💚💛
Thank you, Dr. Maikie, for caring for the smiles of our Inalig learners!
