3rd SLAC Session

New Grading Guidelines: From Assessment to Report Card

The 3rd School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session was successfully conducted on August 26, 2026, at 1:30 PM, bringing teachers together to deepen their understanding of the newly implemented grading guidelines.

The session was led by Ma’am Shirly M. Ortiz, SLAC Leader, with Ma’am Gemmalyn P. Verdan as the Resource Person and Ma'am Catherine Joy T. Punit as SLAC Coordinator.

The discussion highlighted DepEd Order No. 15, s. 2026, and the updated Excel grading format. Teachers were guided on the proper recording and computation of learners’ grades and were given an opportunity to clarify concerns regarding discrepancies between the Excel grading template and the e-Class Online system.

More than simply learning a new format, the session emphasized the importance of accuracy, consistency, and careful validation of assessment results. Teachers shared concerns, exchanged practical strategies, and worked toward ensuring that grades reflected learners’ actual performance.

The session served as a valuable opportunity for teachers to strengthen their assessment practices and ensure a smoother transition from assessment to the final report card.
