𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒’ 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) Arteche Campus community came together this afternoon at the Social Hall to celebrate World Teachers’ Day with the theme “Teacher, Ikaw Naman.”

The celebration opened with heartfelt musical tributes from students, who expressed their appreciation to their teachers through songs and presented them with thoughtful gifts as tokens of gratitude.

The celebration then continued outside the New Building, where faculty members and students joined in various fun and engaging games. The activities provided everyone with an opportunity to take a break from the usual academic routine, share some laughter, and simply enjoy each other’s company.

More than a celebration, today was a reminder of the meaningful relationship between teachers and their students. To all the educators of ESSU Arteche, thank you for your dedication, patience, and continued commitment to shaping the lives of our students.

𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 | 𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙐 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨

The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 successfully celebrated World Tourism Month 2026 with the theme "𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺."

The program featured two insightful talks.𝗠𝗿. 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗣. 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗹, Tourism Operations Officer I of the LGU of Jipapad, Eastern Samar, discussed "𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦, 𝘚𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘮" emphasizing that people and their skills remain at the heart of the industry. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗠. 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 followed with "𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘮 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴," highlighting how AI is transforming the way travelers plan and enjoy their journeys.

The celebration also featured the Student Skills Competition, including the 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘻 𝘉𝘦𝘦, 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, and 𝘝𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨, where our students showcased their knowledge, creativity, and talent.

𝗗𝗢𝗧𝟴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗨 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀

The Department of Tourism Region VIII (DOT8) conducted the first batch of its Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training for 77 BS Hospitality Management students and faculty members of Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) Arteche Campus at the Arteche E-Complex.

The training introduced participants to the principles of genuine Filipino hospitality and the importance of delivering warm, sincere, and quality service in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Participants also gained a deeper appreciation of how courteous interactions, professional conduct, and attentive service can create meaningful guest experiences and contribute to the growth of tourism in Eastern Visayas.

The activity was facilitated by FBSE Trainer Mr. Antonio Cinco, Jr.

Representatives from Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) Arteche Campus attended the 1st Regular Meeting of the Federated Student Councils and Organizations, Inc. (FSCOI) held on September 25–26, 2026 at the ESSU Guiuan Campus.

Representing ESSU Arteche were:

The meeting brought together student leaders and organization advisers to discuss matters concerning FSCOI, including the appointment of the FSCOI Adviser, election of committee heads, adoption of the Publication Committee, revision of the Constitution and By-Laws through a Special Committee, and plans for the Leadership Summit.

The participation of ESSU Arteche’s student leaders and SOA Head reflects the campus’s active engagement in university-wide student leadership and organizational development.

All TDP and TES scholars who are scheduled to attend the Orientation on the Revised Guidelines for TDP and TES on August 26, 2026 are advised to attend a coordination meeting this afternoon.

The upcoming orientation will cover the Revised Guidelines for TDP and TES under UniFAST Memorandum Circular Nos. 1 and 2, as well as discussions on LandBank PESO Accounts and Financial Literacy.

The meeting will focus on discussing and coordinating the scholars’ travel schedules and plans for attending the August 26 activity.
