FROM HARD WORK TO KINDNESS: Mama’s Choice Shares a Taste of Home with Bigo Learners

BIGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, ARTECHE, EASTERN SAMAR β€” A breakfast filled with delicious food and even greater generosity marked the Day 28 implementation of Project PAMAHAW, the free-breakfast initiative of Bigo Elementary School, as Mama’s Choice extended its support to the school and its learners.

The day became extra special as the learners enjoyed a nourishing meal composed of chicken inasal, juice drink, p**o, and nutritious sayote vegetable. More than satisfying hungry stomachs, the meal served as a meaningful reminder that kindness can reach communities even from miles away.

The Day 28 sponsor, Mama’s Choice, located in Guihulngan, Negros Oriental, is owned by Mano Ric Kho and Mana Nenith Kho, a couple who once lived in Arteche, Eastern Samar. Despite building their lives and livelihood outside their former community, the couple continues to remember and care for the people of Arteche.

Behind the generosity of Mama’s Choice is a story of hard work, perseverance, and humility. Mano Ric and Mana Nenith worked patiently to build their establishment and provide quality food and service to their customers. Their journey shows that success is not only measured by what a person achieves, but also by how much kindness one is willing to share with others along the way.

Their establishment, Mama’s Choice, has become not only a place where people can enjoy good food but also a reflection of the owners' dedication, determination, and love for their customers and community. Through their support to Project PAMAHAW, Mama’s Choice has shown that success can become even more meaningful when it is shared.

Adding a beautiful connection to the sponsorship is the fact that Bigo Elementary School is headed by a school head who was once a helper of the Kho family. This humble connection makes the partnership more meaningful. What once began as a relationship built through work and trust has now come full circle, with the former helper leading a school whose learners are now beneficiaries of the family's generosity.

Bigo Elementary School is indeed fortunate to have a school head who carries with him not only leadership but also meaningful connections with people who are willing to extend a helping hand. His journey also serves as an inspiration to learnersβ€”that humble beginnings should never be a reason to stop dreaming, working hard, and becoming better.

The generosity of Mama’s Choice reminds the Bigo learners that distance does not erase one's roots. Although Mano Ric and Mana Nenith now live and operate their business in Guihulngan, their hearts remain connected to Arteche and its people.

Their support to Project PAMAHAW is more than a sponsorship. It is a message of gratitude to their former community and a gift of hope to the younger generation.

As the learners enjoyed their chicken inasal, p**o, juice drink, and sayote, they also received something that cannot be measured by moneyβ€”a lesson in kindness, humility, hard work, and perseverance.

For Bigo Elementary School, Day 28 of Project PAMAHAW became a celebration not only of a hearty breakfast but also of people who never forget where they came from.

Mama’s Choice may now be in Guihulngan, but its kindness continues to find its way home to Arteche.

Day 28 of Project PAMAHAW: Golden K Bakeshop Continues to Nourish Young Learners at Bigo Elementary School-Arteche District!

BIGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, ARTECHE DISTRICTβ€” The spirit of sharing and caring continues to shine at Bigo Elementary School as Project PAMAHAW, the school’s free-breakfast initiative, successfully conducted its 28th day of serving nutritious meals to learners.

For Day 28, pupils enjoyed a simple yet nourishing breakfast consisting of fresh bread with nutritious peanut butter as a spread, a boiled egg, and a warm chocolate drink (Milo). The meal provided learners with much-needed energy as they prepared themselves for another day of learning.

Behind this meaningful initiative is the generous support of **Golden K Bakeshop**, owned by Mano Monching Kho and Mana Socoi Kho, together with their son, Doc Ronron Kho. The bakeshop is managed by Kuya Noel Obias, whose dedication helps ensure that delicious and quality bread reaches the learners.

For two decades or 20 years, Golden K Bakeshop has been part of the community, continuously baking and providing delicious, clean, and quality bread and other baked products. More than satisfying appetites, the bakeshop has now become a partner in nurturing young learners through its support for Project PAMAHAW.

The success of the breakfast initiative is also made possible by the active and dedicated parents of Bigo Elementary School. They never fail to lend their time and effort in preparing, organizing, and serving breakfast for the children. Their hands-on support proves that when parents and the school work together, even a simple meal can become a powerful expression of love and care.

Project PAMAHAW is more than just a free breakfast program. It is a reminder that a well-nourished learner is better prepared to listen, participate, learn, and dream. Through the generosity of partners like Golden K Bakeshop and the unwavering support of parents, the school continues to make every morning a little brighter for its learners.

Bigo Elementary School-Arteche District extends its heartfelt appreciation to Golden K Bakeshop β€” Mano Monching Kho, Mana Socoi Kho, Doc Ronron Kho, and Kuya Noel Obias β€” for their generosity and commitment to the school community.

To the ever-supportive parents, thank you for your time, helping hands, and loving hearts.

Twenty years of baking may be Golden K Bakeshop’s story, but through Project PAMAHAW, its bread is now also helping build healthier learners and brighter futures.

Golden K Bakeshop: Two decades of baking goodness, now sharing goodness one breakfast at a time!

Day 23 of Project PAMAHAW, the free-breakfast initiative of Bigo Elementary School, was successfully conducted as part of the school’s continuing effort to lessen, if not eradicate, tardiness among learnersβ€”a concern that may eventually lead to absenteeism and, ultimately, dropping out.

For Day 23, our learners were treated to a warm and nutritious breakfast of creamy champorado paired with boiled egg, lovingly prepared by our supportive parents. Their time, effort, and dedication in preparing the meal truly reflect the strong partnership between the school and the community in ensuring that every learner comes to school ready to learn.

Special appreciation goes to Marivic Lopega, Gemma Rosco, Patricia Belarmino, Marisol Platon, and Rhodora Pecayo for their invaluable support and service in making this day’s feeding activity a success. Your generosity and commitment have helped make Project PAMAHAW a meaningful and sustainable intervention for our learners.

We also extend our heartfelt thank you to all our sponsors whose generosity continues to sustain Project PAMAHAW. Your unwavering support allows the school to provide not only food, but also encouragement and hope to our learners.

Together, through the collective efforts of our teachers, parents, sponsors, and the entire school community, we continue to make every morning a little brighter and every school day a little more meaningful for our children.

Daghang salamat to everyone who continues to believe in and support Project PAMAHAW!

Bigo Elementary School, Arteche District, successfully conducted Day 22 of Project PAMAHAW, another meaningful day dedicated to providing learners with a nutritious and satisfying breakfast.

For Day 22, the learners were served a hearty meal consisting of adobong sitaw with beef, sunny-side-up egg, and rice. More than just a meal, this simple yet nutritious breakfast gave the children the energy they needed to participate actively and attentively in their lessons.

The success of the activity would not have been possible without the generous time and effort of the parents who spearheaded the preparation. Special appreciation goes to Mrs. Lizalyn P. Estrella, Mrs. Marialyn P. Herbon, and Mrs. Eddilyn Legarse for their dedication and hands-on support in making the breakfast activity a success. Their willingness to serve and work together for the welfare of the learners is truly commendable.

Project PAMAHAW continues to highlight an important reality: a well-nourished learner is more prepared to learn, attend school regularly, and participate meaningfully in classroom activities. As the school looks forward to Day 40 of Project PAMAHAW, the program remains committed to improving learners' school attendance and helping address tardinessβ€”one of the factors that may eventually contribute to poor academic performance and, in some cases, dropping out.

Every breakfast served is therefore more than food on a plate. It is an encouragement for every learner to come to school, arrive on time, stay engaged, and continue pursuing their education.

Bigo Elementary School also extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the generous sponsors and supporters of Project PAMAHAW. Your kindness and continued assistance make these meaningful activities possible. Through your generosity, you are not only helping provide nutritious mealsβ€”you are also helping build healthier, more motivated, and more hopeful learners.

Together, let us continue nourishing learners, inspiring attendance, and making every school day count.
