Three students and two faculty members carry the NVI banner into an international arena of diplomacy, leadership, and global cooperation.

The borders of learning are widening once again for Nueva Vizcaya Institute as five representativesโ€”composed of three student leaders and two faculty membersโ€”participate in the 30th Asia Youth International Model United Nations Virtual Conference (AYIMUN VC).

Representing different countries in simulated United Nations councils, the NVI delegates will collaborate with participants from around the world, exchange perspectives on pressing international issues, deliver diplomatic speeches, negotiate with fellow representatives, and formulate resolutions addressing global challenges.

Their participation is proudly sponsored through the joint initiative of the Office of the Junior High School Department Head, headed by Mr. Kynette Jay B. Cajimat, and the Office of Student Affairs, headed by Ms. Chaden B. Montes. Both school leaders are alumni of the AYIMUN Conference, making this initiative a meaningful continuation of the international leadership experience they once received.

This marks the second consecutive year of NVIโ€™s international participation in leadership and civic-training programs. More than an institutional milestone, it reflects the schoolโ€™s continuing commitment to developing students and educators who can communicate confidently, think critically, appreciate diverse perspectives, and respond responsibly to issues affecting communities and nations.

AYIMUN is an international Model United Nations platform organized by the International Global Network (IGN), a youth-development organization that connects emerging leaders through programs in diplomacy, leadership, cultural exchange, and global engagement. For NVI, international exposure is not simply about participating in a conference. It is about strengthening the competence of both learners and educators and preparing them to contribute meaningfully to conversations beyond the classroom and across national borders. NVI firmly believes;

โœจ โ€œThe more we connect our learners and educators to international forums, the more globally aware, civically responsible, and competent they become.โ€ โœจ

Reflecting the theme, โ€œSangguniang Bayan: Kalasag Mo sa Bawat Peligro,โ€ Apollo highlighted the vital partnership between the school and the Sangguniang Bayan in promoting safety, preparedness, and community well-being. He emphasized that through cooperation and shared responsibility, everyone can help build a more secure environment where everyone feels protected and valued.

His compelling speech earned him the championship title in the 2nd Extemporaneous Speech Contest during the celebration of Legislative Awareness Week 2026, marking his second consecutive victory in the competition. Having also secured the championship title in last year's edition, Apollo successfully defended his crown and reaffirmed his excellence in public speaking and critical thinking.

As one big proud family, the entire school community celebrates Apollo's remarkable achievement and applauds him for bringing honor and pride to the institution through his eloquence, dedication, and excellence. Guided by his coach, Krenzl Mae C. Batallones, LPT, this milestone reflects the school's unwavering commitment to nurturing excellence under the leadership of Evelyn J. Prado, PhD, School Principal, and Yolanda L. Serquina, School Director. May his success continue to inspire fellow learners to strive for excellence and become responsible leaders in their communities.

PROJECT CLOUD: Phase 2 | Elevating Academic Records Through Digital Innovation

What began as a vision to simplify academic records has now evolved into a more comprehensive and intelligent system. Entering its second year, Project Cloud Phase 2 marks another milestone for the Junior High School Department of Nueva Vizcaya Institute, under the leadership of Department Head Mr. Kynette Jay Cajimat.

Last year, Phase 1 introduced a cloud-based stand-alone Summary of Grades, laying the foundation for digital record management. This year, Phase 2 takes innovation even further by integrating quarterly and per-subject electronic records into one unified Academic Record System. Through cloud and local data storage, students' academic performance is reflected in real time, providing faster, more accurate, and more accessible records.

Beyond technology, Project Cloud strengthens faculty capability by equipping teachers with the skills to navigate cloud-based systems, create automated formulas, and synchronize multiple Google files with just a single clickโ€”making data management more efficient, collaborative, and reliable.

Aligned with the digitalization initiatives of DepEd and PEAC, Project Cloud exemplifies Nueva Vizcaya Institute's commitment to educational innovation, operational excellence, and future-ready learning. As education continues to embrace digital transformation, the school remains steadfast in creating smarter systems that empower both educators and learners.

The Senior High School faculty, headed by Senior High School Department Head Sir Allan A. Africa Jr., successfully conducted a Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session focusing on the new Electronic Class Record (ECR) and the updated Transmutation Table. The session provided teachers with essential updates and practical guidance on the proper use of the new grading tools, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and fairness in the assessment and recording of learners' academic performance.

As part of the school's commitment to continuous professional development, the LAC also strengthened the faculty's readiness for the implementation of both the Grade 12 Old Curriculum and the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum. Through collaboration and shared learning, the SHS faculty remains committed to delivering quality education and upholding excellence in assessment practices.

Empowering Learning Through Smart and Fully Automated Checking and Assessment through the advent of technology.

Nueva Vizcaya Institute of Aritao proudly continues its second year of using ZipGrade, reinforcing its commitment to quality, efficient, and learner-centered assessment.

ZipGrade enables teachers to check assessments as quickly as 5 seconds and accurately while providing instant item analysis. This allows educators to give timely feedback, monitor student performance, and make informed instructional decisions that support every learner's growth.

For our students, regularly using standardized answer sheets helps them become familiar with the format used in national assessments. This valuable practice builds confidence, improves test-taking skills, and prepares them to perform their best in future examinations. THE PERKS OF NVIans!

Through the integration of innovative educational tools, Nueva Vizcaya Institute of Aritao continues to empower both teachers and students in creating a more effective, engaging, and future-ready learning environment.

Fast checking.
Instant item analysis.
Better preparation.
Brighter futures. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“–
