In line with our ideals to share the gift of reading, โจAklat Layaโจ is holding its first official Donation Drive. ๐ We are aiming to collect second-hand books from the PSHS Community ๐ฅ and gather them altogether to be displayed in a mini library ๐ and gifted to one special school๐ธ.

Yesterday afternoon, November 23, 2022, the first ever writers/illustrator workshop was held, participated by the ๐โโ๏ธmembers๐โโ๏ธ of ๐๐ด๐ต๐ช๐ฝ ๐๐ช๐๐ช.
Through the workshop, fellow writers๐๏ธ, illustrators๐ผ๏ธ, and layout artists๐๏ธ will get to โจ๐๐๐๐๐โจ and โจ๐๐๐๐โจ their skills to create storybooks that children will get to know and love.
A special thanks to Ms. Cecil Betonta Albores and Sir Arlo Chavez for sharing their ๐ฆ๐น๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ต๐ช๐ด๐ฆ, ๐ฆ๐น๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ช๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ๐ด, and ๐ต๐ช๐ฑ๐ด in story writing and illustrating, and imparting some important lessons weโll be able to use throughout the way๐ฃ๏ธ.

Aklat Laya has kickstarted its journey by conducting its first official meeting ๐ป๐ held on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Weโd like to use this moment to welcome ๐ค again our new recruits.
As everyone has been introduced and familarized with the purpose and ideals๐ก of this organization, we hope to have further cemented โ๏ธ your desire to spread magic ๐ซ to the lives of the Filipino youth ๐ถ๐ง.
