It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Joaqui, a proud former JSHS STEM student from the graduating Class of 2021. His memory and the moments he shared with our school community will always be remembered and cherished.

We extend our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to his family, friends, and batchmates during this time of sorrow.

𝗜𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗫 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝘅 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 ⚠️🚨

The proposed Pax Silica project in New Clark City is being marketed to the public as the "𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗜-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝘂𝗯" and a massive technological leap forward. However, an eye-opening look at the science and scale behind this project reveals a dangerous extractive agenda aimed at capturing Philippine land, energy, and mineral wealth to fuel foreign AI infrastructure.
Here is the alarming reality of what Pax Silica will actually cost our local communities:

🌍 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗕:
The project will occupy a staggering 1,619 hectares. To put that immense scale into perspective, this covers over a quarter (26%) of Angeles City's entire land area, and is equal to nearly half the size of the Mt. Arayat National Park.

⛏️ 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:
Instead of utilizing our resources to build our own domestic national industries, critical reserves of Nickel (Ni), Copper (Cu), and Cobalt (Co) will be drained simply to supply foreign semiconductor and AI hardware manufacturing chains.

💧 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:
AI infrastructure is bound by the laws of thermodynamics, requiring colossal inputs of water for cooling servers. Pax Silica will consume an estimated 20,000,000 liters of water every single day—equivalent to the daily domestic consumption of over 100,000 households in Pampanga. While agricultural communities across Central Luzon face seasonal irrigation shortages, vast water reserves will be diverted just to maintain server temperatures.

⚡ 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗦:
The project demands an unprecedented 5 Gigawatts (5,000 Megawatts) of power. This is nearly 10 TIMES the power consumption of the entire Province of Pampanga combined. By consuming over a third of the entire Luzon Grid's capacity, this project threatens Kapampangan households with severe regional power shortages, grid instability, and higher electricity rates.
True science is patriotic and should serve the people, not imperialists. Progress can never be measured by the number of foreign facilities built on our lands if the cost is the very livelihood and safety of Filipinos. We cannot allow our water to be given to machines while our farms go thirsty, nor can we allow our electricity to be monopolized by foreign corporations while our communities suffer in the dark with high bills.

Pax Silica is not the start of our industrialization—it is a blatant theft of our future and a violation of our sovereignty disguised as modern technology.
