AENHSian athletes, may the odds be in your favor!

For weeks, your victories were unseen.
They were found in the alarm clocks that rang before sunrise, in the extra laps when your legs begged you to stop, in the bruises no one applauded, and in the decision to keep showing up when quitting would have been easier.

Tomorrow, all of those moments step onto the same field with you.

As you represent Aparri East National High School in the Municipal Meet, remember that you carry more than a school banner. You carry the spirit of every AENHSian who believes that excellence is earned through discipline, courage, and unwavering determination.

Do not compete merely to outrun an opponent. Compete to surpass the person you were yesterday. Let your character speak before your medals do. Let your humility be as visible as your confidence, and let your sportsmanship remain steadfast whether the cheers are loud or the silence is heavy.

There will be winners whose names are written on certificates.

But there are also competitors whose hearts leave a mark long after the final whistle.

Be both.

May your strength remain unshaken, your purpose unwavering, and your pride unmistakable. Give everything you have, not because victory is guaranteed, but because the name Aparri East National High School deserves nothing less.

To our AENHSian athletes, the entire AENHS community stands proudly behind you.

๐—ก๐—˜๐—ช๐—ฆ | Family remains first line of defense in school safety, Aparri PNP says

Family remains the first line of defense in ensuring students' safety, an official of Aparri Municipal Police Station said this Thursday, highlighting that proper parental guidance and supervision are essential in preventing violence and criminal incidents in schools

The PNP โ€” Aparri conducted a school safety symposium for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students of Aparri East National High School (AENHS), emphasizing the importance of family involvement in maintaining a safe learning environment.

During the symposium, Police Major (PMAJ) Junneil A. Perez of the Aparri PNP stressed that parents play the most significant role in safeguarding learners.

"The first line of defense when it comes to the security of students is the family. It's not the school. It will always start with the family," Perez said.

Perez explained that schools, parents, teachers, students, and law enforcement agencies must work together to prevent violence and criminal activities on campus.

He identified bullying, family problems, and inadequate parental guidance as common factors behind school violence, citing the recent Tacloban shooting involving two students as an example.

"We don't blame the children; it's the parents' fault. But commonly, ito ang pinanggagalingan," he said.

Perez also warned that excessive exposure to violent online content and internet games may encourage learners to imitate criminal acts.

"According to the PNP, there's always the tendency of the phenomenon of copycat. Kung anong trending, ginagaya," Perez said, referring to bomb threats and other incidents that were reportedly carried out as pranks, revenge, or "for fun."

To help students respond during emergencies, Perez introduced the Run, Hide, Fight protocol. He advised learners to run to a safe area if possible, hide by securing themselves inside a room when escape is impossible, and fight only as a last option when facing an immediate threat.

Perez also presented PROJECT SMILES (Strategic Mandatory Inspection of Learners' Essential Supplies for Schools' Safety and Security), a school safety initiative that includes inspecting students' belongings using metal detectors.

"Kayo ang kauna-unahan sa Aparri na may metal detector," Perez told the students.

He likewise urged learners to immediately report any threats or suspicious activities to authorities instead of keeping them secret.

''Wag dapat tinatago. Dapat agad-agad sinasabi sa PNP," Perez said, warning that withholding information about serious threats may result in administrative and criminal liability.

๐—ก๐—˜๐—ช๐—ฆ | AENHS joins nationwide earthquake drill, promotes safety and disaster resilience

Aparri East National High School (AENHS) participated in the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) this June 20, joining schools and institutions across the country in promoting disaster preparedness and safety awareness.

The activity aimed to strengthen the readiness of learners and school personnel by familiarizing them with the proper actions to take during an earthquake. Participants practiced the "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" procedure, a key safety measure recommended during seismic events.

Representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP) โ€“ Aparri Station, PNP Maritime Group, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) led by Mr. Eric Vista, Municipal Health Office (MHO), and the 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company โ€“ 1st Mobile Force Platoon participated in the monitoring and evaluation activities.

The drill also served as a reminder of the importance of staying calm, alert, and prepared in times of emergencies. Through activities like this, the school continues to equip learners with practical knowledge and skills that can help protect lives during disasters.

By participating in the nationwide exercise, AENHS reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of preparedness and ensuring a safe learning environment for all AENHSians.
