The College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy Student Council (CBEA-SC), in collaboration with the National Service Training Program (NSTP) students of CBEA, conducted the โAYOSKALIKAS: Environmental Clean-Up Initiativeโ today, September 16, 2026, at the CBEA Grounds of Cagayan State UniversityโAparri Campus.
The initiative was conducted under the Makakalikasan component, highlighting the importance of environmental responsibility, proper waste management, and active student participation in maintaining a clean and sustainable campus.
The activity commenced with an orientation and assignment of cleaning areas, where participants were briefed on the objectives and procedures of the clean-up. Students were then assigned to designated areas within the CBEA Grounds to ensure an organized and coordinated implementation of the activity.
Following the orientation, participants took part in an environmental clean-up activity, collecting scattered waste and clearing their assigned areas. The activity also included the segregation of waste and collection of reusable materials, encouraging students to practice proper waste management and recognize materials that could still be reused or recovered.
After the collection and segregation, the participants proceeded with the proper disposal of waste and area inspection. The inspection ensured that the designated areas were adequately cleaned and that collected waste was properly handled.
Through AYOSKALIKAS, the CBEA-SC and NSTP students demonstrated the importance of collective action in promoting environmental responsibility. The initiative further encouraged students to take an active role in maintaining the cleanliness of their surroundings and contributing to a healthier campus environment.
