APARRI, CAGAYAN — Aparri East National High School (Public)has been named the BEST PERFORMING SECONDARY SCHOOL for School Year 2026–2027 in the Municipal Level Search for the 2026 Saludo Educators of Cagayan Awards held yesterday,August 20 ,2026 at Bangag, Aparri, Cagayan.

The award, earned under the leadership of our school principal, Ma’am Gigi S. Banastas, recognizes our school’s academic excellence, innovative teaching practices, and strong community involvement—truly serving as a beacon of quality education in our district.

Adding to this milestone, Sir Ramil Candido, one of our school’s dedicated teachers, was also awarded as OUTSTANDING KEY STAGE 3 TEACHER during the same search. His achievement reflects the high caliber and commitment of our teaching force.

Living with Purpose: AENHS Community Gathers in Holy Mass

The entire Aparri East National High School (AENHS) community came together yesterday in faith and unity to celebrate the Holy Mass, held as part of the school’s regular spiritual and communal activities. The service was officiated by Rev. Fr. Christian Dave P. Remudaro, Assistant Parish Priest of Parokia San Telmo. He was joined by lay ministers and gift ministers in leading the community through the sacred liturgy.

In his inspiring homily, Fr. Dave centered his message on finding and embracing true purpose in daily life. He emphasized that every person’s fundamental calling is simple yet profound: to be good and to do good — both toward ourselves and toward everyone we meet. He reminded students, teachers, and everyone present in the celebration that this purpose guides choices, strengthens relationships, and gives meaning to every effort made inside and outside the school grounds.

The celebration concluded a blessing for the whole school community. The mass served not only as a moment of spiritual renewal but also as a meaningful reminder for all to carry the values of kindness, integrity, and purpose into their classrooms, homes, and daily interactions.

AENHS Honors Athletes for 2026 Municipal Athletic Meet Wins

In a simple but meaningful ceremony held during the regular flag raising program yesterday, June 20,2026, AENHS proudly recognized our outstanding young athletes who brought home honors from the recently concluded 2026 Municipal Athletic Meet. This special tribute marks the official launch of Project REWARD: Recognizing Excellence in Winning, Achievement, Resilience, and Dedication—a school initiative which gives honor and reward to our student-athletes , and coaches ,who stood tall and competed with pride for the name of our institution.
Leading the roll call of achievers was our Sports Coordinator, Sir Bernardo P. Liban, who proudly announced every athlete’s name with their respective coaches, and the events they excelled in, drawing rounds of applause from fellow students, and teachers who gathered at the quadrangle.

Our School Principal, Ma’am Gigi S. Banastas, extended her warmest congratulations and deepest gratitude to all the athletes for bringing distinct pride and honor to AENHS. She emphasized that their victories reflect not just talent and hard work, but the strong values our school strives to instill in every learner. Beyond celebrating the medals and awards, she highlighted that Project REWARD serves as a reminder that true success is built on character, commitment, and the willingness to rise above every challenge.

In her message to the whole student body, Ma’am Banastas challenged every learner to continue discovering, honing, and developing their God-given skills in sports and other fields of interest. She urged everyone to carry themselves with respect for others, strict discipline, and integrity in all their endeavors—whether in competitions, inside the classroom, or within the community.
As we cheer for our victorious athletes today, we also look forward to nurturing more young leaders who will represent AENHS with the same passion, sportsmanship, and unwavering dedication in the years ahead.
