IMPORTANT NOTICE ON UNOPPOSED CANDIDATES⚠️

Please be advised of the following criteria for candidates running without an opponent:

• To be declared a winner, an unopposed candidate must secure at least 50% of the total student population (the electorate).

• Any unopposed candidate who does not reach this 50% threshold will not be considered elected to the position.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

ABSTAIN: Refers to the students who chose not to vote for a specific candidate or did not cast a vote at all.

STRAY VOTE: Refers to an invalid vote, including votes for unauthorized candidates, invalid ballots, or improper shading.

To everyone who took part in this journey from the candidates who stepped up to lead, to the students who made their voices heard congratulations to all!🫶🏻 Your dedication to our campus democracy is what makes our community thrive. We celebrate your hard work, your courage, and your commitment to the future of our school.

Onward, Anthonians💛♥️💚

Before posting the overall tallying of the official votes, we would like to carry this moment away to give a very special, though belated, birthday shout-out to one of our most dedicated members, Celene Abellon from the Engineering Department.

Since April 23 was Election Day, the commission was fully immersed in the hustle of the polls. However, we cannot let the work conclude without recognizing your hard work and celebrating your day. Happy Belated Birthday, Celene!🫶🏻

OFFICIAL NOTICE:

STUDENT REPUBLIC ELECTIONS COMMISSION

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Re-Final List of Qualified Student Republic Aspirants

Date: April 22, 2023

The Student Republic Elections Commission (ELECOM), by virtue of its mandate to administer, regulate, and safeguard the integrity of the electoral process, hereby issues this official statement on the status of the Student Republic Aspirants.

Pursuant to the established guidelines, the Commission provided all aspiring candidates with a clearly defined period to complete and submit their candidacy requirements.

In the spirit of fairness and
inclusivity, the Commission extended the submission deadlines multiple times to ensure that all aspirants were given sufficient opportunity to fulfill their obligations.

Despite these considerations, and notwithstanding the conclusion of the official campaign period and Grand Rally, the Commission conducted a thorough and post-activity review of all submitted requirements. This review revealed that certain aspirants incurred lapses and failed to fully comply with the mandatory requirements within the previously given timelines, despite prior commitments to do so.

In view of this, and as a final act of consideration and due process, the Elections Commission hereby grants a “last and final extension”for all concerned aspirants to complete and submit their pending requirements. The absolute deadline is set on April 22, 2026, at exactly 12:00 pm, beyond which no further extensions shall be entertained under any circumstances.

The Commission emphasizes that this final extension is granted in good faith and in the interest of fairness. Failure to comply within this definitive period shall be deemed a clear forfeiture of candidacy, and the concerned aspirants will be formally disqualified, removed from the official list of qualified candidates and excluded from the final ballots.

The Elections Commission reiterates that compliance with all requirements is a fundamental condition of candidacy. While the Commission has exercised utmost consideration, it will equally uphold strict accountability. Any inability to meet the requirements within the final extended deadline shall rest solely upon the concerned individuals.

This action is undertaken to preserve transparency, fairness, and the credibility of the electoral process. The Commission shall continue to exercise its authority decisively to ensure that only duly qualified and compliant candidates are allowed to participate in the election.

The updated and final list of qualified candidates is shown below.

For guidance and strict compliance.

Issued this 22nd of April, 2026.
