169 years ago, Robert Baden-Powell was born. He saw that young people can do more than they are told, and that character is shaped by the choices we make every day.
He trusted young people to stand on their own, to act with courage, and to keep their word. Scouting became the proving ground where actions, not words, define who you are, and where small choices shape a lifetime of character.
Founderโs Day reminds every Scout that leaving the world better starts with each of us. What you do, how you act, and the way you keep your word today can echo far beyond what you see.
Make it count. Live your Promise. Let the mark you leave be a world better than you found it.
๐โจ WORLD THINKING DAY 2026 โจ๐
February 22
Yesterday, February 21, 2026, the Scouts of BN2NHS (Bagong Nayon II National High School) and BN4-ELEM (Bagong Nayon IV Elementary School) gathered at the beautiful Hinulugang Taktak to celebrate World Thinking Day, in advance commemoration of the birthday of the Founder of the Scouting Movement, Robert Baden-Powell, and his wife, Olave Baden-Powell, every February 22.
With hearts united in service and friendship, our young leaders came together to honor the spirit of the Scouting Movement โ promoting leadership, character, global brotherhood, and commitment to community.
This meaningful celebration was made possible through the dedication and leadership of:
โจ BN4-ELEM GSP Coordinator: Mam Marquez
โจ BN2NHS GSP Coordinator: Mam Chi Cky
โจ BN2NHS BSP Coordinator: Sir Ismael Florentino
โจ GSP Focal Persons:
Mam JAc JAc
Mam Lovella Mendoza
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our supportive school principals (BN2NHS and BN4-ELEM), teachers, Scout leaders, parents, and guardians who continuously encourage and guide our young leaders.
Most importantly, this celebration stands as a testament to commitment and passion โ this is a voluntary activity, organized with love and dedication. Our teachers and coordinators rendered their time and effort not for compensation, but for the growth, character formation, and empowerment of our Scouts.
True Scouting is service beyond duty.
True leadership is service from the heart. ๐
Happy World Thinking Day!
Isang mundo, isang pangako.
Laging handa! ๐๐ฅ
