Today we celebrate someone who has left a joyful and unforgettable mark on our organization our amazing former President, Diana Joven!

Your time with us was never just about leadership it was about bringing life, laughter, and positivity into everything you did. Your fun and loving personality made every moment in the organization brighter, and you always had a way of making people feel comfortable, included, and supported.

Even after your term as President, you never stopped looking out for us. You stayed with us through our ups and downs, always ready with advice, encouragement, and guidance whenever we needed it. You have always been someone who reminds us what is best, helps us think clearly, and gently guides us toward the right path.

Your leadership showed us that being a great leader is not only about making decisions it is about caring for the people around you. The support you gave, the memories you created with us, and the lessons you shared will always remain a part of this organization.

The name Cisco isn’t an acronym or a complex tech term 🤯
It’s actually the tail end of San Francisco

In 1984, founders Leonard Bosack and Sandy Lerner were driving into the city to register their company when they saw the Golden Gate Bridge glowing in the sunlight.

Inspired by the iconic view, they chose the name Cisco — and even designed the logo to represent the bridge’s suspension cables 🌉

The first we**am was designed to monitor the state of a coffee pot for people in a different room and not for online meetings or surveillance.

In the early 1990s, several computer science researchers at the University of Cambridge installed a camera connected to their local area network so that users could avoid getting up only to find an empty coffee pot.

This simple experiment represented one of the very early networked multimedia communications, a core concept in BSIT and networking subjects. It showed how devices could transmit real-time data across the network, an idea that later evolved with the development of modern video conferencing, IP cameras, and live streaming technologies.
