Kaisa ng buong sambayanang Pilipino at ng buong daigdig ang YACAL Pilipinas sa pagdiriwang ng Pandaigdigang Araw ng Manggagawa. Sa araw na ito, pinagpupugayan natin ang mga nagtatrabaho at lumilikha ng yaman ng bansa mula sa mga pabrika, sakahan, at opisina; at pati rin ang mga militanteng nakikibaka para sa buhay at kabuhayan sa gitna ng malaganap na sahurang pang-aalipin ng pandaigdigang sistemang kapitalista.

Kabi-kabila ang inilunsad na mga welga, protestang bayan, at iba pang porma ng pagkilos sa nagdaang mga buwan. Habang nasasadlak ang Pilipinas sa krisis sa ekonomya na ginatungan ng imperyalistang panggegera ng United States at “Israel” laban sa Iran, lalong nagdaranas ang mga manggagawang Pilipino sa mababang pasahod, inseguridad sa trabaho, at panggigipit sa kanilang mga karapatan.

Sa National Capital Region, nananatili sa ₱695 ang abereyds na minimum wage na mas mababa ng 45.1% sa nakalkulang ₱1,266 na nakabubuhay na sahod para sa isang pamilyang may limang myembro. Dahil sa Wage Rationalization Act na nagtatag ng tinatawag na provincial rate, mas malala ang kalagayan sa mga probinsya sa labas ng Maynila. Ang pasahod ay hindi bababa sa ₱400—at mas mababa pa ito para sa mga manggagawang bukid. Katiting lang ang nangyayaring umento sa sahod na hindi naman tugma sa mabilis na pagsirit ng presyo ng bilihin.

Umiiral pa rin ang di makataong mga patakaran sa paggawa kagaya na lamang ng kontraktwalisasyon. Sa halip na mag-arkila ng regular na manggagawa ang mga kumpanya at empresa, mga manggagawang nakatali sa panandaliang kontrata ang mas pinapaboran upang makatipid sa mga benepisyo kagaya na lamang ng insurance at PhilHealth. May mga naitatala ring kaso ng diskriminasyon laban sa mga kababaihan at LGBTQIA+ na manggagawa sa kabila ng pagpapatupad ng mga batas sa pagtataguyod ng pagkakapantay-pantay sa lugar-paggawa.

Ngunit kahit ganito ang kalagayan ng manggagawang Pilipino, patuloy pa rin silang lumalaban, katuwang ang iba't ibang sektor, at nag-oorganisa para sa kanilang mga kahilingan. Pinakakongkretong halimbawa nito ay ang napagtagumpayan ng mga manggagawa sa Kowloon House West nitong nakaraang Abril na ₱40 dagdag na wage compliance sa loob ng dalawang taon at pagbabalik sa hindi naibigay na service charge at iba pang porma ng benepisyo sa matagal na panahon.

Ang mga manggagawa sa Kowloon House West ay kabilang sa milyun-milyong manggagawa sa Pilipinas at sa buong daigdig na nakikibaka sa pagkakamit ng kahilingan para sa sahod, trabaho, at karapatan. Istorikong tungkulin nila ang pamunuan ang pakikibaka ng mga demokratikong pwersa para sa tunay na kalayaan at demokrasya.

Bilang magiging mga manggagawa rin, hindi nalalayo ang mga ipinaglalaban nila sa ipinaglalaban nating mga kabataan. Upang mapanday ang pinakamatalas na potensyal natin tungo sa pagiging tanglaw ng pag-asa, harapin natin ang kasalukuyan. Ang landas tungo rito ay ang paglubog sa karanasan, pagsanib sa batayang sektor ng masang anakpawis, at pagtangan sa kanilang oryentasyon at paninindigan na lumaban.

​Ngayong 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍 𝐃𝐀𝐘, mariing kinokondenahan ng YACAL Pilipinas ang lumalalang talamak na paggamit ng mga AI-generated graphics sa mga opisyal na pahina ng gobyerno sa Pilipinas. Ang sining ng disenyo ay hindi lamang simpleng "𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙢𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙥𝙞𝙭𝙚𝙡"—ito ay isang propesyon na nangangailangan ng kritikal na pag-iisip, kontekstong pangkultura, at higit sa lahat, 𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡. Ang pag asa sa mga artipisyal na imahe ay isang 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗞𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗜𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗢 sa talino at sining ng mga malikhaing Pilipino.

​Ang paggamit ng AI sa mga pampublikong anunsyo ay isang manipestasyon ng biswal na 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗬𝗢𝗡. Kung sa pagbuo pa lang ng mga materyales sa publikasyon ay hindi na magawang maging tapat sa reyalidad, paano pa magtitiwala ang publiko na magiging tapat at masusi ang mga ahensyang ito sa paghawak ng pondo at serbisyo? Ang gobyerno ay dapat nagsisilbing 𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻, hindi tagapagpalaganap ng mga pekeng representasyon na nagpapalabo sa linya ng kung ano ang tunay at hindi.

​Gaya ng aming paninindigan sa ating mga nakaraang kampanya, naniniwala kami na “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱,” ngunit hindi ito magtatagumpay kung ang sining na ating ginagamit ay walang kaluluwa at purong algoritmo lamang. Ang Art-ivism ay isang sandata para sa hustisyang panlipunan, at ang talim nito ay nagmumula sa tunay na karanasan at damdamin ng tao—bagay na 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗺𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜. Ang kawalan ng intersectional solidarity sa ating mga artists at creative professionals ay nagpapahina sa ating kolektibong laban para sa katotohanan.

​Ang bawat AI-generated na pubmat ay isang pagkakataong ninakaw mula sa ating mga lokal na graphic designers. Sa halip na suportahan ang kabuhayan ng mga manggagawang sining na mas nakakaunawa sa hibla ng ating lipunan, pinipili ng mga ahensya ang "𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙘𝙪𝙩" na nagpapababa sa kredibilidad ng institusyon. Ang sining na walang puso ay nagmumukhang ham-fisted propaganda na walang koneksyon sa karanasan ng mamamayan.

​Panahon na upang itigil ang pagtitipid sa maling aspeto. Ang YACAL Pilipinas ay nananawagan: 𝗕𝗜𝗚𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗛𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗚𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗞𝗔𝗟 𝗡𝗔 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 sa halip na umasa sa Artipisyal na Katalinuhan. Maglaan ng sapat na pondo para sa mga malikhaing propesyonal na marunong kumuha ng tunay na litrato at bumuo ng disenyong may kredibilidad. Kung ang mga organisasyong pangkabataan na may limitadong yaman ay nakakapag-produce ng mga de-kalidad na materyales, walang dahilan ang gobyerno na magpabaya sa kalidad ng kanilang komunikasyong biswal.

​Ang sining ay para sa tao, gawa ng tao. Huwag nating hayaang lamunin ng algorithm ang ating identidad. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀. 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀!

Despite the progress of 2026, le****ns continue to face unique intersections of homophobia, misogyny, and systemic exclusion. From workplace inequities to gaps in healthcare, the lack of visibility has real-world consequences. This year, the focus is clear: the health and well-being of le****ns must be seen, valued, and prioritized. Our call to action isn't confined to twenty-four hours; it is a catalyst for a lifelong commitment to a system that no longer excludes women from its narrative.

One of the most profound ways we reclaim this narrative is through the lens of Q***r Cinema. These films act as a mirror, reflecting the rollercoaster of gender crises, the beauty of realization, and the heartbreak of navigating a society that often casts q***r love as an "inevitable tragedy." While these stories often portray society as the villain and fear as the hidden enemy, they also highlight a burgeoning truth: being a q***r woman is an act of power.

If being a q***r woman means being treated as an outcast, then every le***an who lives openly is a revolutionary. It is a refusal to be silenced by a patriarchal world. To be a q***r woman is to prove that nothing beats the strength of a love—and an anger—forged in the face of exclusion.

Today, let us reflect on a future that doesn't just tolerate the LGBTQIA+ community, but actively dismantles the barriers built against them. We celebrate a world where every woman has the right to live, love, and thrive in a society no longer controlled by men, but finally liberated by the very women who built it.
