π‘ 5 ABA Tips Parents Can Easily Use at Home:
1. Reward Good Behavior Right Away π
β
Catch your child being goodβthen praise them or give a small reward (like a sticker, favorite snack, or hug). Reinforcing immediately helps them connect the behavior to the reward.
2. Give Clear, Simple Instructions π£οΈ
β
Use short and specific directions like βPut your shoes onβ instead of βGet ready.β One-step instructions are easier to follow, especially during busy routines.
3. Turn Daily Routines Into Learning Moments π½οΈππ§Ί
β
Use mealtime to practice asking for food, bath time to label body parts, or laundry time to sort colors. Learning can happen naturally through fun, simple tasks.
4. Offer Limited Choices βοΈβ
β
Let your child choose between 2 items (e.g., βDo you want apple or banana?β). This encourages communication while reducing meltdowns caused by too many options.
5. Stay Calm and Patient π§ββοΈ
β
Kids often feed off our energy. If you stay calm, itβs easier for them to stay calm tooβeven during tantrums or tough transitions.

π Beyond the Label 2025 π
π What an amazing experience at yesterdayβs seminar on inclusivity and autism advocacy held at St. Agatha Hotel, Guiguinto, Bulacan! ππ§©
π We were honored to learn from a powerhouse of experts in ABA, developmental pediatrics, education, therapy, and local government β each one offering valuable insights on supporting children with autism and developmental needs. ππ»
π A special highlight for us was hearing from Ms. Gina Luna Bermudo, who has been our constant guide and inspiration throughout our ABA therapy journey. π
π Her talk on "ABA Approaches to Behavior Management" was packed with practical tools, deep understanding, and genuine care. Weβre beyond grateful for her continued guidance. π€π€
β Thank you to ESL Philippines, Autism PH, Guiguinto LGU, and CPACE for making this meaningful event possible. Together, weβre building a more inclusive future β one child, one family, one community at a time. πͺπ»πβ¨
